About This Pub

Ah, The Dartmouth Arms – it's one of those local gems in Wolverhampton that you hear about from mates and end up recommending yourself. From what I've gathered, it's got this warm, friendly vibe that's perfect for popping in for a pint or a small get-together; you know, the kind of place where you feel right at ease and the conversations just flow. The bar staff are spot on, always up for a chat, and it's refreshing to find somewhere with affordable drinks and a bit of community spirit, especially with events like bingo and karaoke to liven things up. They've even got Indian food on offer, which is a nice surprise for a change from the usual pub fare. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – the food can be a letdown, with tales of bland curries and cold, overly buttery naan breads, and sometimes it takes ages to arrive, which might spoil the fun if you're there for a meal. Still, if you're after a relaxed spot to unwind and soak in the atmosphere, it's definitely worth checking out, as long as you keep your expectations in check for the grub.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant and welcoming, making it easy to lose track of time and enjoy a good chat.
  • The bar staff are lovely and really make you feel at home, which adds to the overall charm.
  • Beer prices are cheaper than many other spots, so it's a great value for a casual night out.
  • They've got fun events like bingo and karaoke nights that keep things lively and engaging.
  • It's a welcoming place for everyone, with Indian food options that add a nice variety to the menu.
Cons
  • The food can be a bit disappointing, with curries coming across as bland and naan breads often cold and overly buttery.
  • There are sometimes delays in getting your food, which can put a damper on the experience.
  • Overall, the grub is just average at best, especially when compared to other places around.

Great pub atmosphere, but kitchen staff kept on increasing the time of food arrival, food was not the best, currys were quite bland and layer's of butter on the naan breads and were cold, absolutely saturated with butter,

Great environment, as an immigrant in the UK sometimes it's hard to find a place where you don't feel like a total outsider but here I was always well accepted by the local community plus the beer is cheaper than in other places and you can also have Indian food. They have bingo and karaoke nights as well.

Ordered food from here for the first time last week, and it was absolutely beautiful. We ordered a mix of different foods and all tasted amazing and the service was really good too. Definitely be back! :)
