About This Pub
Ah, The Grove – it's one of those classic pubs that really pulls you in with its warm, community feel, isn't it? From the chats I've heard, the staff are an absolute delight, greeting you with a smile and making the place feel like a proper local haunt. The drinks are fairly priced too, with a nice variety that won't break the bank, and they've got a knack for putting on a good spread, like that buffet at a mate's birthday that sounded spot on. It's got that biker-friendly vibe, which is a lovely nod to the area. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; service can be a bit hit or miss, with some evenings leaving you frustrated rather than relaxed. And if you're hoping for a quiet corner to unwind, you might find it a challenge with the kids and dogs adding to the hubbub – it's got that family feel, but not everyone's after that on a Friday night. The outdoor space in the car park isn't exactly idyllic either, more functional than fancy. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laugh and a pint with friends, but perhaps best avoided if you're in the mood for something more serene – just my two pence worth!

Cons
-
Service can be inconsistent and sometimes disappointing, leaving you wishing for a smoother experience.
-
Prices might feel a tad steep for a pub in this neck of the woods, especially when you're expecting more of a bargain.
-
It can get quite noisy with kids and dogs around, which isn't ideal if you're after a peaceful pint.
-
The outdoor seating area is basically in the car park, which doesn't make for the most charming al fresco option.

Great little friendly pub. Also Biker friendly.
Really bad service and very pricey for a pub that's in Stapenhill Burton-upon-Trent anyone would think they are in a nice place like a quiet village location. 😕
If you fancy a quiet pint early doors Friday give it a miss. Dogs yelping and in the lounge? Kids dumped at pub to run around wild shouting and throwing drinks about whilst the parents get on with their drinking. It has got worse so thanks but no thanks I'm off.
I visited The Grove for the first time recently, I was greeted warmly by the landlady, landlord and their staff. There was an very good atmosphere. Prices for drinks were very reasonable with a good choice. I went back the following weekend and my first experience wasn't a one off! I'll definitely will be visiting again soon!
Lovely pub. We went to a friend's birthday party 🎉 there. The buffet they did was great 👍 Quiche was my favourite 😍. The only downside was the outdoor space. They use the car park for seating. Nothing major overall would go back.
