About This Pub
Oh, Anglesey Arms is one of those pubs that just hits the spot, you know? From what I've gathered chatting about it, it's got this lovely family-friendly feel where the staff go out of their way to make everyone welcome, and the food is spot on – think cracking Sunday carveries, mega breakfasts, and pizzas that won't break the bank. It's got all the classic pub charm with quizzes and games in those old-style split rooms, making it ideal for a fun night out or a casual meal. The pints are always a highlight, pulling in the crowds for a proper taste of the good stuff. On the flip side, the hours can be a bit muddled, so you might want to double-check before heading over, and it does get busy, which could mean a wait for a table. Still, it's a solid choice for anyone in the area looking for an honest, enjoyable spot without any fuss – I'd say give it a go if you're after that warm, welcoming pub experience.
Pros and Cons

-
They've got a fantastic selection of food, like their Sunday carvery, hearty breakfasts, and pizzas that offer brilliant value for money.
-
It's a proper family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with quizzes, games, and even a good old game of darts.
-
The pints are spot on, with plenty of praise for the quality of the drinks.
-
It's open seven days a week with flexible hours, so you can pop in for a bite or a bevvy at various times.
Cons
-
The operating hours listed seem a bit confusing, with some days going late and others wrapping up earlier, which might make planning a visit tricky.
-
While the reviews are glowing, there isn't much mentioned about variety in the menu or special events beyond the basics, so it might feel a tad straightforward for those seeking something more adventurous.
-
As it's a popular local, it could get quite busy at peak times, potentially making it harder to find a seat or enjoy a quiet chat.

Lovely family friendly pub, always a warm welcome from the staff and a great pint 😋
Great local pub with quizzes and old fashioned split rooms for games, relaxing and events. This is how a pub should be. The staff were exceptionally friendly and also the patrons, would like to return one day for a drink and a game of darts.
A fantastic 3 course Festive Fayre lunch for 10 members of my family. Perfect service, food amazing and an awful lot of care included. We even got bread sauce which is seldom, if ever served. I'd also recommend the breakfasts ( the mega one is outstanding ) the pizzas are fantastic value, in fact all of the food is top quality, cooked and served by people who care. Definitely the Sunday carvery must be tried, all fresh veg, choice of 4 meats, homemade Yorkshire pudding, booking is a must. Without doubt, the best value for beautiful food
Lovely staff with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Had a brilliant Sunday carvery with amazing yorkshire puddings. Great value for money. We will be coming back for this again
Absolutely brilliant Sunday carvery, lovely food, great value for money. Highly recommended. Very friendly and welcoming pub
