About This Pub
Ah, The Greenwood Inn – it's one of those unpretentious pubs in Bradford that you might stumble upon and end up enjoying for its straightforward charm. From what I've gathered from chats with others, it's got this warm, community spirit where you can pop in for a pint and feel right at home, especially with those reasonably priced drinks that won't leave you rummaging for change. I love how it's set in a quiet little area, making it ideal for a relaxed evening away from the hustle. On the flip side, though, it's not without its downsides – parking's a bit of a faff, and there have been times when it feels a smidge disorganised or lacking in atmosphere, like when the music's nowhere to be found or things get a bit chaotic with crowds. Still, it's a decent choice if you're after an honest, no-frills spot; just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a good time, but maybe plan ahead for those little niggles.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Greenwood Inn has a really friendly and welcoming vibe, making it a great spot for a casual catch-up with mates.
-
Drinks are affordably priced, with pints ranging from just £2 to £4.60, so you won't break the bank on a night out.
-
It's tucked away in a small community area, giving it a cosy, local feel that's perfect for unwinding in a calming atmosphere.
Cons
-
Parking can be a right pain, as it's often a bit tricky to find a spot nearby.
-
Some evenings feel a bit unwelcoming or disorganised, with reports of it being messy or not quite up to scratch.
-
The atmosphere might lack a bit of energy at times, like when there's no music playing, which can make it feel a tad flat.

Nice friendly place been there quite a few years, parking a little problem
Nice little pub. I enjoy it there
This was the most unwelcoming, dirty, disorganised venue my band has ever played at. On arrival we were greeted with more kids in pushchairs than adults. We were bombarded on arrival with an extremely drunk lady who could hardly stand up. The landlady didn't provide us with any details of where to set up etc and decided to put us in an area where only people sat round the bar could hear us. We were unable to sound check properly because the music was blasting and she was busy drinking In another room next to where we were playing. Luckily we had some friends and family and our sound engineer with us which made me feel safe, as the drunken behaviour was getting worse. One woman almost fell into the microphone. We were concerned greatly about our expensive instruments and equipment. When the children left with their drunk parents things Improved and we managed to engage a good crowd. Lots of dancing and audience participation. We even did a few requests on demand. Suddenly half way through our second 45 minute set we were rudely interrupted by an even more drunken landlady and told to leave. The reason stated was that the sound quality wasn't good enough and. A customer in another room wasn't happy. Not only was this not true but a whole pub of customers who had come to see us were left speechless and confused as we were. On collection of our pay she wouldn't pay. She just kept 75 pounds of our pay and refused to pay what we had agreed which was 250. I could not believe what I was hearing. Rather than get involved at the scene which was getting dangerously aggressive with alcohol fuelled staff and regulars I decided to approach her via email the next day so I could retrieve the money she owed us. The next day she and her friends had sent unpleasant comments on our social media band page, trying to slander and destroy our reputation. Which is our livlihood and career. After sending her messages asking how she would like to pay the money she owed she stated my band partner had agreed on 175. Yet we have the booking in writing for 250. She has now blocked the account used for communication. Luckily with the help of musicians union we can get our money off her. I will be issuing her with the appropriate letter to get the issue resolved. Musicians please be aware of venues like this. I'm lucky because I have all the evidence needed. Always screenshot agreed prices, any derogatory slander on media, all communication regarding payment issues and other relevant documents. Together we must support live and it is OK to share experiences like ours to warn other potential musicians they may hire. The law is on our side when it comes to things like this. I'll be going there again......to deliver the letter by hand this week. Small claims court deal with the rest. It's not about the money, but it is about theft and justice in my eyes.
Pleasant pub with a calming atmosphere since it's in a small community area.
Drinks ranging from between £2 and £4.60 a pint depending on what you drink.
Not had food so can't rate that
Well first time in several years and i wonder why?! No atmosphere or music in background even after a friend asked twice! The only saving grace, we went in with a group of friends but 2 drinks and we left. Sorry but we should have stayed at the other local pub where the wake was and it will be several years before i go again!!
