About This Pub
Ah, The Grapes – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot when you're after a bit of that classic English atmosphere in Cambridge. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks really rave about the welcoming feel; the staff go out of their way to be helpful and keep things running smoothly, even during peak times like a busy wake or live music night. The drinks are spot on – fresh pints that never disappoint – and the food, particularly those Sunday roasts and platters, sounds like a proper treat without costing a fortune. Plus, the garden's a hidden gem for soaking up some sun with your mates. On the flip side, it does wrap up early most days, around 4 PM, so if you're hoping for a late session, you might end up moving on elsewhere. And without an online presence, it's a tad tricky to plan ahead or get the lowdown on what's on. All in all, it's a cracking little spot for a laid-back catch-up, but worth keeping those timings in mind to make the most of it.

Attending the pub for a wake, the staff were professional and friendly and also very efficient. Particularly impressed by the bar lady who remained calm and cool despite the bar being full of people wanting drinks. Very quick service, drinks were well priced and the platters of food were tasty too. A nice pub all round!
