About This Pub

Ah, The Grapes – it's one of those pubs that just sticks in your mind, isn't it? Tucked away in Bath, this place has been serving up pints since 1792, and you can feel that history in every nook and cranny. What I love most is their brilliant range of drinks; they've got craft beers, local ciders, and stouts that are absolute winners, perfect for chatting over with mates. The live music really sets it apart too – think jazz nights and folk sessions that get everyone in the mood, without any fuss about tickets or reservations. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and knowing their stuff inside out, which makes the whole experience feel genuine and relaxed. It's got that inclusive spirit as well, where all sorts of folks mix in and enjoy themselves. On the downside, though, it does get busy, and since they don't take bookings, you might end up hovering for a spot or dealing with a bit of a queue. The furniture's a tad eclectic, almost like it's been pieced together over the years, which adds character but could feel a bit worn if you're after something more polished. All things considered, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a proper pub vibe in Bath – the good bits far outweigh the niggles, and I'd say it's well worth popping in for a pint or a tune.

Amazing jazz band last Weds. No need for tickets and for pre-booking. Extremely easy going , lots of different ages and diverse places that accept everyone without biases. Music is open to people. Loved the place . Definitely to revisit .

Stopped by here to try a cider brewed in Bath. Tasty! Will need to return for a pint of beer - but as we were with a tour for the day, this was a great spot to just relax for a few moments.

1st time. Good vibes about the place. Staff were warm & welcoming. Hotchpotch of furniture but lends itself to the character of the place. Definitely will go back. Footnote, that cider is smooth as smooth, lovely.
