About This Pub
Ah, The Cork – it's one of those pubs in Bath that really knows how to get the crowd going, tucked right in the city centre with a welcoming outdoor garden and spaces for karaoke or watching the big game. I've heard from a few who've popped in that the atmosphere is just brilliant, especially with events like DJ nights or the pub quiz, and the food hits the spot for a quick nibble, like those tasty popcorn chicken bites. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing; some mates have shared stories of long waits for food or finding the menu a bit sparse, and there've been grumbles about certain drinks not being available or service slowing down when it's packed. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're up for a fun evening, but it'd be wise to keep expectations in check for the finer details – you know, like planning ahead if you're peckish.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's a relaxed and fun spot, perfect for catching up with mates over a drink, with a great vibe from the DJ nights and live events.
-
They've got some cracking food options like the popcorn chicken and nachos, which are ideal for a light bite while enjoying the outdoor garden area.
-
It's brilliant for socialising, with karaoke pods, quizzes, and live sport on the screens, making it a go-to place for a proper night out in the heart of Bath.
-
The drinks selection is pretty decent, including refreshing spritzes and thoughtful low or no-alcohol choices for those taking it easy.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit hit-and-miss, with some waits stretching on, especially for food during busy times like match days.
-
The food menu is on the limited side and isn't always available, which might leave you wanting more options or disappointed if you're after something in the afternoon.
-
A few folks have mentioned issues with specific drinks or beers not being in stock, and some dishes can be a tad underwhelming, like the hummus that didn't quite hit the mark.
-
It can get lively downstairs, which is great for a party, but if you're after a quiet pint, it might feel a bit too hectic at times.

Really nice and casual. Popcorn chicken and the nachos were really nice as a light bite.
Outside was nice and chill and then the downstairs got lively with a DJ (it was a Friday).
Really good vibe all round.

Didn’t eat as no food on. No Guinness zero. No glasses. Long wait on rugby match day with one bar member. Rubbish handpull beer. If you drink lager fine otherwise avoid.
Had the quinoa salad and a couple drinks with some friends. Table service wasn't really a thing, but the bartender took orders and food was brought out when it was ready. Overall pretty decent spot, and the music was more classic rock vibes than anything.
Nice atmosphere inside, and the guy who served us was nice. Our friends got their food quite quickly but mine & my boyfriend’s food (4 small plates) took over 40 mins to arrive. The popcorn chicken & bbq chicken wings were tasty and would definitely recommend. The hummus tasted of nothing and was accompanied by some cold burnt toast. The tempura vegetables were not a ‘medley’ as described, just some thin crispy courgette slices which was disappointing/misleading. Our friends had the pork belly, cheesy chips, and mac & cheese and said it was good.
Studenty pub, with screens to watch sport. Limited food menu and not served in the afternoon. No hot drinks either.
Cheap beer and decent vibe. Service was pretty good.
