About This Pub
Ah, The Goodness Brewing Company – what a gem tucked away in Wood Green! From the moment you step in, it's clear this place is all about passion for craft beer, started by a group of mates back in 2018 and now dishing out brews that are just bursting with flavour. I love how they've nailed the beer game, with options like their hazy IPAs and session beers that cater to all tastes, including vegan and gluten-free picks, which is brilliant for those with dietary needs. The outdoor seating is spot on for a sunny day, and the pizzas are a proper treat to go with your pint. The staff are genuinely welcoming, always up for a chat, and they've got a knack for hosting fun events that make it feel like a community hub. On the flip side, it's a shame they're not open every day – just a few days a week – so you might have to plan ahead, and the hours can be a bit unpredictable, which has caught me out once or twice. Prices are moderate, but they add up if you're in for a session, and without a phone number, it's not always easy to get quick info. Overall, it's a top spot for beer enthusiasts looking for quality and a good laugh, but keep those opening times in mind to avoid disappointment.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is absolutely spot on – they've got a fantastic range of craft brews, from juicy IPAs to refreshing lagers, all made with top-notch ingredients that really shine through.
-
The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, with plenty of space inside and a great outdoor area that's perfect for soaking up the sun with mates.
-
Staff are always friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or hosting a get-together.
-
They've got some brilliant food options too, like their incredible pizzas, and it's great to see gluten-free and vegan choices that cater to everyone.
-
It's a hidden gem for events and music nights, adding a fun vibe that keeps things lively and engaging.
Cons
-
They're only open a few days a week, which can be a bit of a letdown if you're keen for a midweek visit and have to plan around their schedule.
-
The operating hours seem a tad inconsistent from what's listed, so it might take a bit of checking to make sure you're not turning up when it's shut.
-
There's no phone number available, which could make it tricky if you need to get in touch quickly or confirm something before heading over.
-
While the beers are fantastic, some might find the prices a bit on the steep side for a casual night out, especially if you're after more than one round.

Me and my friend Maria (a Colombian solicitor) had a really really great time here. They sell a great beer selection, but also a well proportioned aperol spritz(!).
It was a nice sunny day when we came to visit and the outside seating area was perfectly suited for the occasion.
We’ve already decided to come back with more friends. Great venue for a big group, plenty of seating space if you had a birthday or other special celebration to host.
Shout out James and the rest of the team 💪🏼
I booked The Goodness Brewing Company for my son's birthday party - we needed a large space to accommodate his and our friends without a massive price tag. They delivered! The venue was perfect for our purposes - we had an entertainer in the morning and then just hung out - and the staff were great. It would have been nice (and quicker) to have had a phone number to arrange all the details, but the emails were always friendly and helpful and the staff on the day was lovely, too. We'd definitely book with them again!! Thanks a lot!
a hidden gem in Woodgreen, they sell a variety of gluten free and vegan IPAs, stouts, sours and lagers. pizza is incredible, they also have gluten free options there too. Garden is great in the heat aswell, perfect atmosphere and the staff are always helpful and kind. my favourite place
One of the best breweries in London. The venue itself is amazing. It is very large, with lots of tables and space. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They do some great events and music nights. There is a good beer selection and the pizza is very good too. Highly recommend!
Stopped by on a Saturday and had a great experience here. They offer a great selection of beers and the pizza was the perfect snack. Very good! Overall it’s a great atmosphere for friends and/or families with very excellent service (shout out to our server James).
When visiting the area again, I will definitely go back!
