About This Pub

Ah, The Globe in Brentford – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and that's saying something in a city like London. The food's a standout; they've got fresh, seasonal dishes whipped up by an award-winning chef using top-notch local ingredients, whether you're tucking into a hearty vegetarian burger or their legendary Sunday carvery with all the trimmings. And the drinks? Blimey, there's a cracking selection of ales, beers, wines, and spirits that cater to all tastes, perfect for pairing with a meal or just enjoying in the garden on a sunny day. It's brilliant for catching live sports on the big screens or grooving to weekend music, and the community vibe makes it spot-on for birthdays or work dos. But let's be honest, it's not flawless – the menu might not hit the mark for everyone, and those London prices can add up quicker than you'd like, plus it tends to close a bit early some evenings if you're hoping for a long night. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a good time with mates, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home as soon as you step in, always ready with a smile and top-notch service.
  • The food is a real highlight – fresh, seasonal dishes made with sustainable ingredients, plus classics like a cracking Sunday carvery that hits the spot every time.
  • They've got an impressive drinks selection, from perfect pints of real ales and craft beers to fine wines and spirits, making it easy to find something to suit your fancy.
  • It's a brilliant spot for watching live sports on multiple big screens or enjoying live music, with a welcoming community vibe that's perfect for celebrations or just unwinding.
  • The atmosphere is cosy and traditional with modern touches, and they've got a garden and function room for those special occasions.
Cons
  • The menu might not appeal to everyone, as some folks have popped in and not found anything that quite tickled their taste buds, so it pays to check it out first.
  • Prices are pretty standard for London, which means they can feel a bit steep if you're watching your wallet, even though it's moderate overall.
  • Opening hours wrap up fairly early in the evening on some days, so if you're after a late-night spot, you might need to plan around that.
  • While the sports viewing is fantastic, it could get a tad overwhelming during big matches if you're after a quiet pint.

The Globe in Brentford is a fantastic spot that effortlessly blends a cozy, traditional pub atmosphere with modern touches. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The menu is a standout, offering a great selection of hearty pub classics alongside some more creative dishes. The Sunday roast is a must-try—perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Their drink options are equally impressive, with a range of ales, beers, and a well-curated wine list. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink, a delicious meal, or just a friendly chat with locals, The Globe delivers. It’s a true gem in Brentford and well worth a visit.

We nipped in here on a recommendation from the hotel we were staying in for food. We never had food in the end as we didn't see anything we fancied, but the menu seemed OK enough. Staff were friendly, and prices were typical for London with a decent selection of draught. We didn't stay, but there was a quiz soon to start (friday night), and the pub was fairly busy. It had no music on but it's that type of bar.

An excellent pub for a good cold drink! Lovely and very friendly staff offering the best service! Definitely recommend it. Any time of day and any weather. I’ve been here a few times and in words of a famous actor: “I will be back!”

We had a team lunch in Globe... The entire team visited Globe for afternoon lunch and trust it was the best. I'm a vegetarian and they served Vegetarian Burger 🍔, Pasta, Salad and Desert... All of them were really good.. I have tasted burgers in many places however the Burger which I ate in Globe was the best. They also serve Alcohol in case you are an alcohol lover. I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant/pub.

Adult - Choose up to 3 Meats - Sirloin of Beef, Leg of Lamb, Turkey Breast, Pork Loin or Gammon Homemade Nut Roast is also available. All meals are served with a choice of roast & mashed potato, peas, carrots, honey roasted parsnips, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding & gravy Staff were extremely friendly both behind the bar and the food serving area. You basically choose what meat you are going to have and pay for it and then you go to the food counter where you can let them know if there are any vegetables you don’t want. The meat was good, but seemed to lack a bit of flavour, lovely selection of vegetables. The pub is very family friendly, but the back room overlooking the garden is very noisy once tables start to fill. Definitely need to book as very popular.
