About This Pub
Ah, The George in Belsize Park – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, doesn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place has this lovely historical charm with its Tudor-style front, making it a great spot to pop in for a pint or a bite after a wander in the area. The food really stands out; folks are raving about the gluten-free options, like that amazing burger that doesn't skimp on flavour, and it's all reasonably priced too. The staff are an absolute highlight – they're quick on their feet, always up for a chat, and even throw in a bit of entertainment with their pours, which adds to the fun atmosphere. It's brilliant for watching live sports or just chilling in the beer garden when the sun's out. But let's be honest, it's not perfect; there have been a few mentions of service glitches, like apps not being picked up straight away, and the outdoor space could do with a freshen-up now and then. Still, with such a solid 4.3 rating from heaps of reviews, it's a reliable choice for a laid-back evening, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the mood for good company and a proper pub experience.

They've got some cracking food options, like that gluten-free burger that's a real winner for anyone with dietary needs.
-
The staff are brilliant – friendly, efficient, and even a bit of an entertainer behind the bar, which keeps things lively.
-
A smashing selection of beers, including a properly poured Guinness that hits the spot every time.
-
It captures that classic traditional pub atmosphere, making it feel warm and welcoming for a relaxed catch-up.
Cons
-
There can be the odd service slip-up, like when ordering through an app and it doesn't get noticed right away.
-
The beer garden has potential but isn't always in tip-top shape, which might put a dampener on outdoor plans.

Lovely location especially in the sunshine! Gluten free burger was amazing and got to eat it with a beautiful gluten free bun which doesn’t happen at many places! Staff and service were phenomenal. As a regular visitor to nearby hospital will definitely be back again 😊
Stopped by here for some drinks while waiting for my wife. It's a nice drinking place with many beer choices. I came for the guinness and it was great! They had the 2-step pour I think. Other than initially I ordered through the app but the staff did not notice, the rest of the service was okay.
I've lived in this area for 17 years, and this place is truly a gem! The atmosphere is always great, the food is amazing, and it keeps me coming back. But the real highlight? Toby! He’s not just a bartender—he’s an entertainer. He pours drinks like a pro and keeps everyone laughing with his great sense of humor. Every time he’s working, it feels like a party. If you’re looking for good food, great drinks, and a guaranteed good time, this is the place to be!
Came here with a large group after a nice walk in the park. Food came out before I had even ordered it so 5 stars for service. Atmosphere was lovely and the beer garden has serious potential (if we weren’t morbidly dusty). Food was pretty good! And reasonably priced. No real complaints.
One of the best pubs I've visited while in the UK. The food was great, the service, the staff polite and cheerful. The place itself has a unique traditional pub atmosphere!!
A place I would definitely visit again!!
