MUST Wine Bar, 63 S End Rd, London NW3 2QB

About This Pub

Ah, MUST Wine Bar in Hampstead – what a lovely little find if you're after a relaxed evening with a glass in hand. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its incredible range of wines; imagine sipping through options from all over the world without breaking the bank. The staff are the real stars here – they're so approachable and eager to help, whether you're a seasoned wine buff or just fancy something light and fruity. Pair that with some tasty bites like a cheeseboard, and you've got yourself a proper treat. On the flip side, it's a bit of a shame if they don't have that specific wine you're craving, as stock can vary, and the later opening times might not work for everyone. Still, it's got that cosy, inclusive feel that makes you want to linger, and it's clear from the feedback that folks leave feeling chuffed. All in all, if you're in the mood for a sophisticated yet down-to-earth wine bar, I'd say give it a go – it's got more ups than downs, and you'll likely walk away with a new favourite tipple.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The wine selection is absolutely brilliant, with over 70 wines by the glass from more than 20 countries – perfect for exploring new favourites without committing to a full bottle.
  • The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly; they'll chat with you about your usual tipples and suggest something spot on, making you feel right at home.
  • It's got a warm, cosy atmosphere that's just inviting, whether you're popping in for a quick glass or settling in for a tasting session.
  • They offer great food pairings, like cheeseboards and thoughtful matches with the wines, which really elevate the experience.
  • Prices are reasonable, especially for those on a budget, and they've got options like biodynamic or vegan wines that are a treat to find.
  • The place is welcoming to all sorts, including families with little ones, while still keeping that sophisticated vibe.
Cons
  • They can run out of certain wines by the glass now and then, which might mean missing out on what you had your heart set on.
  • Opening hours are a bit on the later side, typically starting around 3 PM, so it might not suit early birds looking for a lunchtime tipple.
  • With varying schedules, like those multiple Sunday slots, it could get confusing to know exactly when they're open, so it's worth double-checking.

I had a lovely time at MUST! Good wines and the cheeseboard was a nice bite. They were out of a couple of the wines by the glass we requested, but our waiter had decent recommendations for alternatives and offered a sample of the new wines.

Came here with a friend and had such a lovely time. The waiter (Lorenzo) explained the menu in detail but there was no air of pretentiousness which you sometimes get in other wine bars. We like a nice glass of wine but we are not connoisseurs by any means and also on a budget. We explained this to him and he let us try multiple before buying. He was friendly and personable and also seemed very knowledgable about the wines he was serving. Would definitely return here :)

A very charming and trendy spot to hang out for a cozy date. The staff took good care of us and were happy to share recommendations. What impressed me most was their extensive selection of biodynamic or vegan wines, which are often difficult to find. The pricing is reasonable, and though we were only here for drinks, the cozy seating arrangements and clean ambiance were appreciated. We would certainly return, as this establishment lives up to its reputation of serving high-quality wines.
