About This Pub
So, chatting about The Foxhound, it's one of those pubs that really captures the essence of a traditional spot – you know, the kind where you can pop in for a casual drink or settle in for a proper meal. From the reviews, it sounds like they've nailed the basics: the staff are always up for a chat and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, which is just what you want after a long day. The food gets plenty of praise too; think hearty portions that don't skimp on quality, and they've even handled events like parties with ease, serving up a buffet that's a cut above the usual. It's especially buzzing during sports events, with a great vibe that keeps things lively. On the downside, it does fill up quickly, so if you're heading there on a busy night, you might have to wait a moment to get your order in, and it's a bit of a shame there's no website to quickly sort out bookings or check what's on. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening out, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep an eye on the timing to avoid the crowds!

Great village pub. Pub being the word ! Pub like a pub should be. A proper pub that also does good food.
I just moved to the area and noticed this as one of two pubs in the village. When I’ve brought my friends here, staff have been helpful and welcoming. The food is good and portions are sizeable. I liked that there was a safe outdoor area for my friend’s child at the back. Make sure you book for special occasions, such as other’s Day, else you won’t get a table.
Lovely local pub, great atmosphere, very busy when we went, due to the rugby, but didn't have to queue long to get served, will definitely come back
Watched the football there on the weekend, staff were very accommodating.
Nice drop of lager in there too.
First time we had been in the pub but will definitely be going back there.
Had my Mum’s 60th party here and all I can say is WOW!! Had the most wonderful day/evening. The lovely staff couldn’t have done anymore for us it was just perfect 👌🏻! The Buffet food was amazing such good quality and offer much more than your standard buffet menu. They even closed most of the outside too us also which was a touch! Thankyou so much guys for making my Mum’s 60th one to remember. Will definitely be a venue I would book again!!
