Plus, with the refurbishment underway, it's a shame we can't pop in right now, but once it's back up and running, I'd reckon it's worth the wait for a proper, enjoyable pub dining outing. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after something special, just keep those little drawbacks in mind.

Went here last night, chose it because it was local but my oh my goodness hat a great choice local or not, the place is lovely and homely and clean and cosy, the staff were brilliant friendly and helpful and not stuffy or pushy in the least. The wine list is great and the food, well........all I can see is the chef definitely knows how to cook pork! We both had to have the same main as we're are belly pork lovers and we were not disappointed at all, it's was melt in the mouth gooood. We had 3 courses and a good bottle of merlot and Inc tip was £85, which to be honest in this day and age is hardly expensive for the type of food we were lucky enough to indulge in. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend this great little restaurant. As a chef myself I like to go out for good food and I left satisfied, full and somewhat inspired.

Very nice gastro pub. I had this great "Super Roast" (turkey, beef, gammon, sage and pork stuffing, pork belly and some crackling sticks) all excellent quality meat. It was busy, but it was not noisy and easy to have a conversation, and the staff contributed to a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend without hesitation.

Service and staff really good. Food a bit over priced but good. It does amaze me with most restaurants including this one, when your food arrives the waiter asks you if you want any sauces then disappears for 5 minutes. Ask before we get our food.
