About This Pub
Ah, The Flask – it's one of those North London spots that just feels special, with its centuries-old history and a welcoming atmosphere that's drawn in everyone from authors to rockstars. I love how it's got this perfect balance of cosy indoors and a fabulous outdoor area, making it ideal for a relaxed catch-up or even a lively gathering with friends. The staff are absolute stars, always chipping in to help rearrange things or share a bit of the pub's stories, which adds a nice personal touch. On the food front, the menu's full of refined pub favourites made from fresh, seasonal bits – think standout Sunday roasts and those moreish Scottish eggs that leave you smiling. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect; if you turn up without booking, you might end up waiting a while for service, and some meals can be a bit disappointing, like that dry turkey someone mentioned. Still, with its moderate prices and solid overall vibe, it's a brilliant choice for a proper pub experience, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and perhaps plan ahead for the best time.

It's great for all sorts of occasions, from casual meet-ups to private events, with plenty of room and a welcoming feel that keeps people coming back.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit slow at times, especially if you haven't booked ahead – it's worth planning to avoid any waits.

Some dishes might not quite live up to expectations, like the dry turkey in the Christmas special; it's not always a hit.
-
The beer selection is just alright – nothing standout, so if you're a beer enthusiast, you might find it a tad underwhelming.

Lovely pub with a great outdoor space. The interiors and exterior are fabulous. It is never too loud. The beer selection is alright. I haven't tried the food so I can't tell
Attended friend's birthday get together in a reserved outdoor section. Staff were extremely helpful in realigning tables and seating to accommodate. Excellent service and everyone had great meals and plentiful beverages. While I preferred to order from the bar (the interaction was fun and engaging), those table ordering were quickly taken care of. The birthday girl and attendees were very happy and I look forward to a more private visit in future to take care of the lovely little private nooks and crannies within. Very highly recommended.
Former pub of George Michael close to his former home. Very friendly staff, delicious food and all fair prices. If you ask friendly the staff will tell you the place where GM always was in the pub and why. Thanks guys. We had a great time. Oh, I forgot. Try the black pudding Scottish egg, mjammie 😋
My first visit as people recommend this pub for Sunday roast.
It was good roast, good portion and pretty vibes like hidden pub. Especially Yorkshire pudding was amazing!
We didn't book in advance and we seated outside. So the service was very slow.
I would recommend you to book a table and come by car.
Cosy old pub with a narrow corridors, low ceilings.
Service was great and they provided a large room for our party with Christmas decorations. 🎄
The food however was a bit of a letdown. We had the Christmas special and suffice to say we could not finish our food.
The turkey was quite dry, the beef wasn’t too good either.
Wished we had gone for the Sunday roast instead which looked mouth watering on our way out.
