About This Pub
Ah, The Fellows Pub – what a lovely little find in the heart of Dudley. I've got to say, if you're after a spot that nails the classics, this place does it just right. The food is spot on; think mouth-watering Sunday roasts or a solid dinner menu with local ingredients that leave you feeling properly satisfied. It's clear from the buzz around that the kitchen knows its stuff, and it's not just about filling you up – it's about making every bite count. Then there's the team behind the bar and tables; they're an absolute treat, always on hand with a friendly word or to whip up something extra, like that extra garlic bread that made one family's day. It's that kind of personal touch that turns a simple meal into a memorable evening. The atmosphere's just right too – whether you're popping in for a quiet drink or joining in with the entertainment, it feels like a proper community hub. On the flip side, though, the website could do with a bit of a spruce-up; waiting for an email reply isn't ideal when you're trying to book something quickly, so I'd suggest picking up the phone instead. And watch out for those opening times – they seem a tad muddled in places, which might mean you're left hanging if you're aiming for a late one. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a balanced pub experience; the highs definitely outweigh the lows, and I'd happily recommend it for a catch-up over a pint and a plate.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is an absolute delight – from hearty Sunday lunches to delicious dinners, it's all beautifully cooked with a great variety to suit everyone, whether you're after local meat or family-friendly options.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive; they go above and beyond to make you feel at home, like chatting with old mates, and they're quick to sort out any little issues with a smile.
-
It's a brilliant spot for special occasions or just a casual get-together, with a lively atmosphere, entertainment in the bar, and even a function room that's perfect for parties or celebrations.
-
Value for money is spot on – you get top-quality meals without breaking the bank, making it a go-to for a proper pub experience in Dudley town centre.
Cons
-
The website isn't the speediest for sorting bookings, as emails can take up to 48 hours to reply, so it's probably best to give them a ring if you're in a hurry.
-
There might be a bit of confusion with the operating hours listed, as it seems to vary, which could catch you out if you're planning a late visit – double-check before heading down.

On a very short first visit to Dudley, we stopped here (in the restaurant) for dinner. We were so impressed that we came a second night. The food was delicious - beautifully cooked and a good choice of menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely eat here again.
What an amazing meal we had here and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was incredible 😋 local meet and chef even came out to see us personally to deliver yet more garlic bread to our son.
Thank you especially to Kayleigh for being so friendly and making us feel at home. We will definitely be back !
We went with friends on Saturday evening to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. We had not been before and would like to say the food was excellent and value for money. However the staff were superb, attentive but not intrusive, helped with any minor issues, spoke and listened to us. It was a lovely experience, would recommend it and will be back soon. Lovely to find a little gem so near to home. Thank you.
Had an amazing Sunday lunch with family, staff very friendly, our waitress Daniella went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we needed.
After the meal we moved into the bar area and enjoyed the entertainment, bar staff Zara and Stacey, friendly as always.
Fun, friendly and fabulous pub ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came here for Sunday lunch today and it was amazing!
Honestly the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long time.
As a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) everyone loved their meals.
The service was also excellent.
We had:
3 adult Beef dinners
2 adult turkey dinners
1 adult lamb dinner
1 child beef dinner
1 child turkey dinner
Great portion sizes for both adults and children.
I like how the veg and gravy are bought out in separate bowls and we could all help ourselves.
Great selection of veg and all of the meat was great!
We then had puddings:
2 orchard crumbles (crumble of the day)
2 chocolate brownies
1 profiteroles
2 vanilla ice cream
1 kids chocolate brownie
Again, all puddings were delicious.
Value for money was good for what we had.
We all agreed that we will definitely be returning soon!
Thank you for a lovely Sunday!
