About This Pub
Oh, The Court House is one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Dudley – you know, the kind where you can pop in for a pint and end up staying for hours. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the beer is top drawer, with a brilliant selection of real ales that really hit the spot, and the staff go out of their way to make sure everyone's having a good time. It's got all the classic touches too, like a cosy log fire and space for a bit of pub games, plus it's great for groups with that function room upstairs that's handled weddings brilliantly, judging by the glowing feedback. On the flip side, though, some folks have noted that drinks like Guinness can be a tad overpriced, and there are little things like mouldy pictures that might need sorting to keep everything shipshape. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out or a special do, as long as you're prepared for the occasional quirk – I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy a pint with a side of character.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is absolutely spot on, with a fantastic range of real ales like that Plum Porter – it's a real treat for anyone who appreciates a good pint.
-
The staff are brilliant; they're friendly, helpful, and really make you feel welcome, as if you're chatting with old mates behind the bar.
-
It's got a lovely traditional atmosphere with a log fire, pub games, and even a garden for when the weather's nice – perfect for a relaxed evening.
-
They've got a great function room upstairs that's ideal for special occasions like weddings; from the reviews, it sounds like they pull out all the stops to make events memorable.
-
Dog-friendly and welcoming to families until 7pm, plus it's near public transport and has awards for their cider, so you know they've got quality on their side.
Cons
-
Prices can be a bit steep for some drinks, like the Guinness mentioned in one review, which might make you think twice if you're on a tight budget.
-
There are occasional maintenance niggles, such as mouldy pictures on the walls, which could do with a freshen-up to keep the place looking its best.

Really nice place with great beer and the young couple running it get top marks from my wife and I.Hopefully they will be successful in making a good living from running it.The Plum Porter was especially good.
Great venue and good service had my wedding here October 2024 upstairs they did a brilliant job! Big Thankyou to Stefan and team for making our day and evening a memorable one 🤍💛
Great pub and atmosphere
Always great selection of ales and cobs
Attended a wedding reception in the upstairs function room. This was the first wedding they had held and it was stunning. Room looked lovely, has a bar in the room and it's own toilets. All staff were polite and helpful and the day/evening went without a glitch. Food they provided was delicious and plenty to go round. Owner popped in near the end to check everything was OK which was a nice touch.
Guinness was a little over priced. It was clean and seems well looked after but I did notice some mouldy picture up on the back walls.
Fresh cods available
