About This Pub
So, chatting about The Castle in Dudley, it's one of those places that really hits the mark for a fun evening out with your lot – the staff are dead welcoming and make you feel right at home from the get-go. The DJ spins a brilliant mix of music that keeps everyone on their toes, and there are some top-notch drink deals that make it easy on the pocket, especially if you're planning a proper sesh. It's got that warm, festive feel, like during Christmas, where folks have shared some cracking memories with their families. On the other hand, it's not all roses; a couple of reviews mentioned it being a bit of a letdown for first-timers or those looking for something more low-key, with one person even saying it put them off going out altogether after a New Year's visit. All in all, if you're up for a bit of banter and good times, it's worth popping in, but it might not suit if you're after a more chilled affair – just keep that in mind for a balanced night.

Great night out with the lads, Great music DJ was playing some good tunes, nice & friendly atmosphere, door staff are friendly too, plenty of good drink in offers, definitely go again!!!
I'm 42 years old, and this was the first and probably the last time I will ever go out. Our kids wanted to come and celebrate the new year. Not really knowing what was about in Dudly, we stubbled across this pub/club. We were all welcomed in by the doormen. We came in ordered our drinks were polite. I went out for a smoke, and a fella in a suite was talking to the doormen. Saying we will start charging people £1 for entry. Fair enough 👌 so I went back in thinking no more of it. An hour later, I went back out for a smoke. To then be charged £1 to come back in. Which i think was out of order. But hay, i wasn't going to let it bother me. The club/pub was dead, so I persumed he was trying to make a few pennies. Anyway, the next time I went out, they tried charging me again £1 to go out for a smoke. Anyway, the doormen was lovely and gave me a wristband and said, "Don't worry about the £1 as I had already paid." So I went back up and ordered me and the family a drink. Then this guy is in a suit. Said we had to leave as we haven't paid.i picked up my phone and stated recording as we were leaving to be picked up by a security guy and carried out. Them pushed to the ground outside the bar. And verbally abused.. I'm 42 years old, not a young lad. I come to spend my money in your bar with the family. I didn't come for trouble. The club was absolutely dead on the new year. And I understand why. I will be making a complaint with the local council too. Hopefully, I will stop or prevent your next licence. Police and ambulance were called because of the pushover you guys did. Sadly, I believe the owner is a danger to himself and his staff
Very friendly and polite staff and lovely people there wonderful place for a lovely night out and great prices. Loved it.
A beautiful Christmas experience to top off an already amazing pub. Me and my family have been customers here for years and despite changing hands a couple times, it's never lost the quality.
We came here last year for Christmas and again this year and it didn't disappoint, everything was so delicious and everything was table service so you could stay comfortable whilst the staff went above and beyond and really looked after us and everyone around us. A lovely atmosphere overall.
The carvery every Sunday is absolutely beautiful and it never disappoints. Overall the quality is sublime and it really goes above any other carvery in the area, nothing comes close.
So if you are looking for a decent carvery, come to the Castle Wednesfield and it will be your regular.
Amazing atmosphere and staff are too, excellent DJ mixed veriaty of music that suits all at some point so no one is let down.
Can't say there's anything that's not good anouph or let's the place down TBH.
