About This Pub
Ah, The Swan – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem in West London, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's got this inviting, character-filled atmosphere that's miles away from the bland chains, making it ideal for a laid-back catch-up with friends or even a family outing. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick to make things feel personal. And the food? Well, it's a winner for the most part – think tasty small plates, a cracking wine list that's a cut above the usual pub fare, and dishes like the Swan burger or Sunday roast that folks rave about. That garden space is another plus, especially on a sunny day when you fancy a bit of fresh air with your pint. But, let's be straight, it's not all perfect; there have been a few tales of service mix-ups, like orders arriving in the wrong sequence or items getting forgotten, which can put a dampener on things. Plus, some portions feel a tad skimpy for what you're paying, and if you're set on traditional pub grub, you might miss out on a few staples. Overall, though, I'd say it's worth a visit for that homely charm and solid grub – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a cracking time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is lovely and cosy, with plenty of character that sets it apart from those generic chain pubs – it's got that warm, welcoming feel you'd love for a relaxed evening.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
The food is a real highlight, with delicious small plates, a fantastic wine selection, and standout options like the Swan burger and Sunday roast that hit the spot every time.
-
It's got an awesome garden area, perfect for enjoying a drink or meal outdoors, and it's great for popping in with kids or mates for a casual get-together.
Cons
-
There can be the odd service slip-up, like getting mains before starters or forgetting an order, which might throw off your meal a bit.
-
Some dishes have disappointingly small portions for the price, such as the sticky toffee pudding, which left me wanting more.
-
The menu might not have everything you'd expect from a pub, like fish and chips, so it could limit choices if you're after classic options.

Lovely cosy pub, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Bit different with more character than a chain pub. We only had small plates and not a main, but the food we had was delicious. Great wine menu - unlike many pubs this place has a selection of genuinely lovely wines. Perfect place for a few drinks and some delicious food.
Great Beef Sunday Roast! Service was attentive and friendly, although they messed up the order bringing our mains before the starter. I also had a sticky toffee pudding but it was disappointing. Serving size was very small for the amount charged and not enough sauce.
Awesome garden and great food. Very casual but a great place. Def a place to visit with kids and friends. Although the place doesn't do fish and chips, the menu has enough to keep everyone pleased.
One of my favourite local pubs in West London! The service here is amazing and the food is fantastic 😍! Love the swan burger and I recommend coming here for their Sunday lunch too!
Five of us ate here recently on a Bank Holiday Monday we had booked early, on arrival the pub was pretty quiet but soon got busy with diners. Food was good, but they forgot one of the starters. We had ordered two the same, but they looked different when the second forgotten plate arrived. Food was well cooked and had good flavours, nice wine list. Staff were pleasant and it was a lovely way to spend time with friends. Recommend booking to guarantee a table.
