About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Denbigh Arms – it's one of those hidden gems in a quaint Warwickshire village that just makes you want to settle in for the evening. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is where they really shine; whether it's a perfectly cooked steak, a hearty Sunday roast, or even some solid vegetarian dishes, folks are raving about the quality and how it's all presented so nicely. The beers are another highlight, with a good range of real ales that go down a treat, and the whole place has this fresh, inviting feel thanks to recent changes under the new team. It's budget-friendly too, which is always a plus for a casual night out. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a bit of a faff – they're not open every day for lunch except Sundays, and some have mentioned it's not always straightforward, so you'd want to plan ahead. It does get packed at times, but the service seems to hold up well, keeping things cheerful. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed meal or drink with mates, as long as you're prepared for the quirks – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed with the grub!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food here is absolutely spot on – think delicious Sunday roasts, cracking steaks, and plenty of vegetarian choices that really hit the mark.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of real ales and beers, including favourites like Mad Goose Pale Ale, perfect for a relaxing pint.
  • The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, especially since the new management has given the place a fresh, light makeover that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's affordably priced, so you can enjoy a proper meal without breaking the bank, and they've got family-friendly options like a children's menu.
Cons
  • Opening times can be a bit unpredictable, so it's worth double-checking before you head out, as they might not always be as reliable as you'd hope.
  • They're not serving food at lunchtimes during the week, which is a shame if you're looking for a midday bite – Sundays are the exception though.
  • It can get quite busy, especially on evenings or weekends, so you might have to wait a tad for your table even if the service is generally good.

Lovely little pub. Great vegetarian options. Lovely food and service. Opening times can be hit and miss. But all the same, well worth a visit

Went to The Denbigh Arms on Saturday evening 5/4/25 as visiting Monks Kirby. Had some great beer and excellent burger and chips. The pub was busy but the food was still served in a timely manner. This has become a really good village pub for locals and visitors alike. Thank you !

Went for food on Friday. Both my husband and I had the sirloin steak. Best steak we've had for some time. The presentation is great and the extras give the meal restaurant quality. Good selection of wine and beer. Desserts always of high quality.

First time visiting the Denbigh Arms and must remember to come here again. Had a lovely starter of Pear and Celeriac Soup accompanied with some bread and butter which is always lovely to dunk in the soup. This was followed by Confit duck leg, truffle mash and some veg with a duck sauce which was absolutely delicious. The Duck was lovely and rich, the skin was nicely charred and the duck sauce was gorgeous. Truffle was good, you could taste the truffle and made a wonderful accompaniment to the duck. This was part of their Christmas menu, think traditional pub food is available. Service was good and efficient with plenty of time left between starter and main. Reasonably priced. Very happy.

Recently taken under new management and the place has been transformed internally from quite dark and gloomy to fresh, light, and welcoming. There's a good selection of beers available from the bar, and food is served from the kitchen by an outstanding chef. Customers in the restaurant area can be overheard complimenting every dish they have tried here recently, which was reflected in the food we had during our visit here. Staff can't do enough for customers and will make it their utmost to accommodate requests wherever they can. Prices are great for the high quality and definitely worth every penny. There's outdoor seating with picnic benches and some under cover seating available. Bank holidays have also seen a children's bouncy castle put up so families can enjoy the outdoor space. Set facing an extremely old large church that is steeped in history going back to the 1800s, The Denbigh Arms can provide the perfect venue space for any services at the church. Theres is free parking at the rear. Some weekends have live music, and a karaoke night was recently trailed, which everyone there absolutely loved. If you're passing through, it's definitely worth a visit for a drink and some food. You might have to call through and book a table as it does get fully booked regularly. The onion bahji scotch egg is a game changer! Enjoy!
