About This Pub

Oh, what a gem The Dandy Cock is, if you're after a proper cosy pub experience in Kirkby in Ashfield. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome, whether you're a regular or just passing through – it's that kind of place where you end up chatting away with the locals over a pint. The drinks selection is spot on, with a fantastic array of real ales, ciders, and gins that would impress any beer enthusiast or gin lover, and it's lovely to see it's so dog-friendly too, with treats for your four-legged friends. The decor adds a real charm, making it feel like a hidden little haven. But, on the flip side, it's only open a few days a week and wraps up fairly early, which might put a dampener on spontaneous plans or if you're hoping for a lively evening out. Still, if you can catch it at the right time, it's well worth a visit for that authentic, relaxed pub vibe – just keep an eye on the schedule to avoid disappointment!

Wonderful micropub with a great well kept selection of cask ales, ciders and I think you'd be hard pushed to find a better choice of gins anywhere! Not just dog friendly, dog loving! Lovely friendly place with great staff and friendly locals. A must visit if you're in the area.
