About This Pub
Ah, The Countryman Pub and Dining – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a relaxed day out or a special meal with mates. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real standout; think tasty, well-put-together dishes with plenty of choice, whether you're after a full English brekkie, a light lunch special, or a proper Sunday roast. It's all served up all day, which is handy if you're not one for sticking to meal times. The staff seem like absolute gems too, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly – though, fair to say, it can get a bit patchy when things are hectic, like not every message getting through right away. The atmosphere is spot on, with that inviting log fire and comfy spots to unwind, plus an outdoor terrace for sunnier days. It's reasonably priced for the quality, and being in such a picturesque rural setting makes it feel like a proper escape from the everyday hustle. Overall, I'd say it's a winner for anyone looking for good grub and good times, but do pop in early or book ahead if you want to dodge the crowds. It's got that 4.6 rating for a reason – mostly rave reviews, but keeping it real with the odd hiccup.

Having visited The Countryman many times over the last few years, I can safely say it is one of the best restaurants in the area.
Great for any meal, for casual meet ups or special meals, The Countryman offers a big menu with plenty to choose from and every meal is tasty and well presented.
The staff are always super friendly and happy to help. The restaurant is always clean, well decorated and a lovely atmosphere. Even when it is really busy, it never feels cramped or that staff are overwhelmed.
Went here for an early Mother’s Day meal and can honestly say the food was amazing! And the staff were top notch especially our waiter who looked after us.
Would highly recommend this place for a lovely meal out and a great atmosphere.
Will definitely revisit back in the future.
Called in without a booking on the off chance and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We were seated right away in the bar as the restaurant was full, our drink order was taken and then our food order. I got the mighty mixed grill and wasn't disappointed it was awesome, my wife got the Steak pie and she thought it was delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Nottingham.
A great place to go, with decently portioned food at great prices, spread across starters, mains, desserts, and sides, as well as options for sharing platters.
We had a party of 10 booked in for the New Year and their special menu featured a great selection of festive and year-round dishes. I can't say anything negative about the whole experience as myself and my guests enjoyed every moment of it.
The waiting staff are polite and attentive; the decor is warm and inviting without feeling cramped or cluttered; the meals were brilliantly portioned and well presented and tasted divine! They were also very accommodating to young children as we had 3 of our party fitting into this category, with highchairs available for little ones.
A fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dining experience, whether it's a cute date night, family get-together, or a work do.
Really enjoyed but no consistency with waiters, therefore message not always passed on. Although service was very good from all thankyou. Ambiance was very good, nice atmosphere and very friendly.
