About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Curious Tavern, it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles straight away. The staff are proper gems, always up for a chat and going the extra mile to sort you out, like that server who made someone's visit memorable. The atmosphere is spot on, especially with those live singers popping up now and then, which really lifts the spirits and makes it feel alive without being overwhelming. Throw in a pool table for a bit of banter with your mates, and you've got yourself a winner. Prices are fair too, so it's not going to dent your wallet much. On the flip side, it can get a tad crowded when it's buzzing, and without a website, it's a bit of a faff to get the lowdown beforehand. Overall, with a solid 4.3 rating from folks who've clearly had a blast, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in Nottingham – whether you're after a quiet drink or something a bit more lively.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and really attentive, making you feel right at home
  • The atmosphere is brilliant, with live singers that add a fun vibe and make it a great spot for a night out
  • There's a pool table, which is a real bonus for some friendly games while you sip your drinks
  • Drinks are reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a good time without it costing an arm and a leg
  • It's warm and welcoming, perfect for a quiet pint or catching up with mates before heading elsewhere
Cons
  • From what I've seen, there aren't many downsides, but the place might get a bit busy on popular nights, making it harder to find a seat
  • No website means it's not the easiest to check details online before you go

One of my favourite places to go to for a drink in Nottingham. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere great they occasionally have live singers on which I enjoy and they have a pool table which is definitely a bonus. Not too badly priced either.

Me and my partner come in here often for drinks , today we have came in and had such a brilliant server I felt as thought I had to write a review , I believe his name was Joey, not sure if he’s one of the owners. He has been so attentive to any minor queries we have had and has been so personal and friendly. Top notch customer service compared to any I have seen in Nottingham! He has made our night in his friendliness and personalisation! He deserves as much credit as possible.
