About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Crown & Treaty – it's one of those pubs that just wraps you in that cosy, timeless feel the moment you walk in. Dating back to the 16th century, it's got this wonderful mix of old-school charm with its wood-panelled rooms and a gorgeous garden bar that's perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying a quiet pint. The food really stands out; think hearty portions of classic pub grub with fresh ingredients and flavours that leave you satisfied, whether you're popping in for a quick bite or a full meal. And the team behind the bar? They're an absolute delight, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone feels welcome, especially if you're with family or need a bit of extra help. It's brilliant for hosting events too, like weddings or even a comedy night, and being right in Uxbridge means you're close to lovely spots for a wander afterwards. On the flip side, though, the menu can be a tad limited at times, so if you're after a wide range of choices, it might not quite deliver. Plus, while there's plenty of parking, it's a shame they haven't sorted a dedicated spot for those with disabilities yet. And it does get pretty quiet sometimes, which is nice for a chat with mates but might not thrill if you're in the mood for a more energetic crowd. Overall, it's a solid spot that does the traditional pub thing really well, and I'd say it's worth a visit for anyone wanting a taste of proper British hospitality – just keep those points in mind for the best experience.
Pros and Cons

-
The food is a real highlight – comforting pub classics with generous portions and great flavours, perfect for a hearty meal or something lighter.
-
Service is top-notch; the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially for families or those with mobility needs, making everyone feel right at home.
-
It's got a great vibe for events, from weddings to comedy nights, and the outdoor seating is lovely on a sunny day, especially with easy access to local sights like the Grand Union Canal.
-
They offer a wide selection of local ales and drinks, which adds to that authentic British pub experience.
Cons
-
The menu can sometimes feel a bit limited, particularly if you're after something more than lunch-style bites, as it might not always hit the spot for dinner options.
-
Parking is plentiful, but it could do with a proper marked bay for those with disabilities to make things more straightforward.
-
It tends to be quite quiet at times, which is peaceful if you're after a relaxed visit, but it might not suit if you're looking for a lively, buzzing atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely family meal at Crown & Treaty this afternoon - so accommodating for my elderly parents and such kind and thoughtful service! Food incredible, generous portions and great flavours. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much to the team.
A lovely warm friendly place to have a drink or a bite to eat. Plenty of outdoor parking and tables. It's fully disabled access but could do with a marked disabled bay for parking. Excellent service from very professional staff. This is a five star experience.
Had a love dinner at this restaurant couple of weeks back. Very inviting ambience and nice seating arrangements. Outdoor seating is also there which I feel would be great on a sunny day.
They’ve got really limited menu when I visited. I was told that they’re changing the entire menu hence they’ve got limited options now. So definitely gonna visit soon to try the new menu.
We ordered;
A Burger with Chips which was fantastic.
Chicken wings which was mentioned as a starter was enough as a mains and great taste.
The Pasta was flavourful as well
My most favourite was the Half Chicken Roast. One of the finest I’ve tried.
We didn’t see many Staff the day we visited but the lady who assisted us was really kind and hospitable.
Great portions and good value for money. Lovely experience.
Table of six for Christmas Dinner on the 25th.
We all had a brilliant time here.
The barstaff and kitchen chefs were all excellent. They really made us feel very welcome.
The food particularly our mains were so so nice. Great portion and everything was very well cooked
Will be booking the same table next year. 👍👍🥂🎄. Thank you.
Lovely place. Undiscovered by many. A massive part of hostory, dating back to cromwell.
Its always quiet when i go. The food menu seems more lunch related than dinner, so great for lighter bites.
Theres also a comedy night here, which ill try some time.
