About This Pub
Oh, what I wouldn't give for a plate of Nonna Rosa's finest right now – it's one of those places that just hits the mark with its genuine Italian flavours, using only the best ingredients to whip up dishes that'll have you coming back for more. From what I've heard from folks who've been, the service is spot-on; the team are so friendly and go the extra mile, whether it's making families with little ones feel right at home or sorting out options for those with dietary preferences. It's got that warm, inviting atmosphere that's ideal for a casual catch-up or a special do, and the portions are generous without breaking the bank. But, let's be straight, it's a bit of a letdown that it's closed for refurb at the moment – I know I'd be gutted if I turned up expecting a meal only to find the doors shut. Still, they're teasing an exciting new menu when it reopens, and they've pointed punters towards nearby spots to tide them over, so it's not all bad. All in all, once it's back, I reckon it'll be a must-visit for anyone after a proper Italian feast with a side of excellent hospitality.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot-on – think authentic Italian dishes made with top-notch ingredients, like delicious pasta and generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied.
-
Service is top drawer; the staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making it a great spot for families or special occasions, and they even cater to dietary needs like gluten intolerance.
-
The atmosphere is lovely and spacious, perfect for a relaxed meal or celebrating something, with nice touches like complimentary treats on birthdays.
-
They've got cracking deals, such as 2-4-1 cocktails in the evening, and it's all at a moderate price that feels fair for what you get.
Cons
-
It's currently closed for refurbishment until May, which is a real shame as you'll have to wait to experience it.
-
With the place under wraps, you might miss out on that vibrant vibe for now, though they've suggested popping next door to Bar Italia in the meantime.

Order the fried dough balls and watch your head when you go toilet.
Went for a family meal for my birthday. Place is lovely and service was great. My salmon pasta was delicious and everyone else’s food looked great. Staff were very attentive and then sang Happy Birthday with a tiramisu and limoncello on the house. Will be adding to my faves and definitely returning!
