About This Pub
You know, I've popped into The Crown a few times, and it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon spots that really hits the mark for an affordable pint and a bite to eat. The staff are generally spot on, always up for a chat and making sure you're sorted, which adds to that cosy pub feel in the middle of Worcester. It's brilliantly placed if you're out shopping or waiting for a train, and they've got loads of space, making it easy to bring the family along without any fuss. On the other hand, it's not all smooth sailing – I've heard a fair few grumbles about the food not always being up to scratch, like meals being unavailable or turning up cold, which can put a dampener on things, especially if you're after a proper meal. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual get-together, but I'd say keep your expectations in check for the dining side and maybe stick to the drinks if you're after something straightforward. Still, for the price, it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area.

A nice Spoons let down by the dining experience. A lot of the meals were temporarily unavailable (I don't know what's going on, but this is becoming increasingly more common in Spoons lately). So we both had something we don't normally have. I had the Bangers and Mash, which was fine. However, my partner had the Pasta Alfredo, which she said was disgusting. So much so, that she couldn't finish it. She said that it tasted like the packet stuff you just add boiling water to. The Spoons inconsistency curse strikes again.
Lovely spoons in the heart of Bewdley. Visited on a very busy Easter Monday. The place was packed. We ordered from the app. Food was as expected and service was very food, from a very busy young man. Some tables hadn't been cleared, but given the circumstances they were dealing with a packed pub and restaurant very very well.
Ordered food and drinks, food came first obviously, mixed grill was cooked on the clam, frozen peas, tomato levitated over the grill, peppercorn sauce cold. My chicken wrap sat in the hot hold for 3-5 business days. No check back, no clearing. Place is shocking.
Was here in a business trips with a team and came here for a few drinks and food, honestly had a chilled and enjoyable night. We had J.C serving us and he was incredible, constantly checked up on us and just watching him work hard and making sure everything in the area was where it needed to be was respectable. He definitely is an absolute asset to the team
Lovely pub in centre of Worcester. Good value meals. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Handy to pop into when you're shopping or waiting for train. It's just a few minutes' walk to station. Children wecome. Toilets clean. Plenty of seating. Highly recommend this pub if you are in Worcester. Food always good. By the way, beer is also brilliant 👏
