About This Pub
Ah, Café Cadena – it's one of those places in Worcester that really knows how to mix a mean cocktail, making it a go-to for anyone after a proper night out. From what I've gathered chatting about it, the drinks are where they shine brightest; they're creative, tasty, and have that special something that keeps you ordering round after round. The vibe is generally upbeat and welcoming, ideal for catching up with friends over a few bevvies, and the staff can be lovely when they're in the swing of things, adding to that warm, sociable feel. But, let's be straight, it's not all smooth sailing – some have had rough experiences with service that feels a bit lacklustre or even abrupt, like getting cut off early during events. Then there's the food, which sadly doesn't always live up to the hype; a few mates mentioned meals that were downright disappointing, so you might want to skip that and focus on the liquids. All in all, if you're heading there, I'd say go for the cocktails and the atmosphere, but keep your expectations in check for the rest – it's a solid spot with its charms, but like any pub, it has its off days.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cocktails are absolutely spot on – some of the best I've tried in Worcester, with a real wow factor that makes you want to come back for more.
-
The atmosphere is friendly and fun, perfect for a good night out with mates, especially if you're up for some lively vibes.
-
Service can be top-notch when it's on form, with staff who are welcoming and make you feel right at home.
-
They've got a decent selection of beers, wines, and even some tasty food options like Gyros that hit the spot.
Cons
-
Service isn't always reliable; some folks have had issues with being ignored or cut off early, which can put a dampener on the evening.
-
The food can be hit or miss – reports of awful meals, like rubbery calamari and soggy chips, mean it's best to stick to drinks if you're unsure.
-
Facilities might not be up to scratch, with complaints about dirty toilets and things feeling a bit neglected.
-
The doorman's approach can be off-putting, with a stern welcome that doesn't always make you feel invited.

So glad we tried this bar! I have tried quite a lot of cocktail bars in Worcester & the cocktails here are the best I've had, they are amazing! The service & atmosphere is also great with a friendly vibe. I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat. Will definitely go again & highly recommend!
Terrible service! We got about 5 drinks total and they got cut off 10 minutes before 90 min was up!!! I complained as I had my had up for about 10 minutes to be told "they thought I was dancing" there is only 1 ladys toilet and it was disgusting!! The seat was falling off ,the sink was full with water ! We will not go back ! Watered down drinks! When you get them and food was Terrible!! No bottomless just awful 😢
We went to have a bottomless brunch. We bought a cocktail before which was lovely, but the actual cocktails at bottomless brunch were very sour and watered down.
The food was absolutely atrocious, even the chips were awful and the calamari was like a rubber band. All of us left all our food. But nothing was ever said or asked to why we left our food.
Personally, I really wouldn’t advise the bottomless brunch for the price you pay.
Very busy due to the bottomless brunches, ok cocktails not really any wow factor, but we were upstairs might have been better downstairs? Doorman was blocking the door so it looked like we weren't allowed in on approach I was expecting maybe a smile and a welcome? But nah was more a scowl and indifference which was quite off putting. Staff upstairs alot more welcoming. Not sure I'll visit again tbh.
Decent cocktail bar on the high street.
Was very pleasantly surprised to find them selling Gyros.
My burger was nice, too.
Very friendly staff. Nice to see them all smiling at times.
Reasonable beer and wine selection.
Good stuff.
