About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about Cocky Anchor – it's one of those pubs that just sticks in your mind long after you've left. Tucked away on Broad Street in Worcester, it's got this wonderful quirky edge that blends traditional decor with a fresh, modern feel, making it feel like a proper hidden gem. I love how the staff are so approachable and eager to share stories about the place; they'll even give you a quick tour if you ask, which adds a nice personal touch. The beers are spot on too, especially their house lager – it's a real treat and pairs perfectly with the lively atmosphere. And don't get me started on the rooftop bar; it's got an outdoor terrace with gorgeous views of the city, ideal for soaking up the sun or enjoying a cocktail as the evening sets in. On the flip side, it can get a bit cosy downstairs, so if you're in a larger group, you might find yourself gravitating upstairs for more room. Also, the beer selection isn't the most extensive, which might leave you wanting more choices if you're a real ale enthusiast. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for a casual get-together, and while it's not without its little quirks, the positives far outweigh any minor drawbacks – I'd say it's well worth popping in for a pint and seeing what all the fuss is about.

Another very quirky place in Worcester. Tradionally decorated but with a modern vibe. Quite small downstairs put plenty of room in the palour rooms upstairs. A very different vibe but fantastic. Limited selection of draft but the house Larger is really good.

A nice little period place full of character with a beautiful crafted ship that compeltes the bar. The staff are more than happy to give you a tour awell and a little history lesson. The building has five floors, including a rooftop cocktail bar with an outdoor roof terrace with views of Worcester you’ve never seen. With the malvern hills and cathedral sites easy seen. As well as a beautiful make of the logo made by a local artist, it's a must-see place to go. As well as the lovely cosy, quiet rooms and indoor garden with a glass roof that and front windows that open to allow an even cosier atmosphere. A variety of drinks to suit everyone with nice local ales good selection of wines as well as largers. It's definitely a place to visit if you also love a quiz (first Wednesday of the month), as well as other events such as local live music and meet the brewery and wine tasting evenings.
