About This Pub
Ah, The Cock Inn – it's one of those unassuming spots that just draws you in with its friendly charm. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this really inviting atmosphere where the staff make you feel like a regular from the get-go, and that cider is something special; I can imagine sinking into a pint of it on a lazy afternoon. The place is spotlessly clean and cosy, with a great garden for when the weather's on your side, and it's blissfully free of blaring music, so you can actually catch up with friends without shouting. On the flip side, though, the drink choices are a tad narrow – if you're a craft ale enthusiast, you might find yourself a bit disappointed with the focus on John Smith's and lagers. Plus, there's no kitchen in action yet, so no hearty pub meals to line your stomach, and parking's not the easiest around there. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint and a chat, especially if you're local, but it might not wow you if you're after a more varied experience. I'd say it's worth popping in for the vibes alone, as long as you keep your expectations in check.

It's nice and quiet with no loud music, so you can actually have a proper chat with your mates.
Cons
-
The beer selection is a bit limited, especially if you're after craft ales or a wider range of bitters – it's mostly John Smith's and lagers.

No food options available at the moment, which is a shame if you're hoping for a pub lunch to go with your drink.
-
Parking can be tricky around the area, so you might have to hunt for a space nearby.

I love this place! Cider is amazing. Nothing better than a pint of the cock in cider 😋
Lovely little local boozer. Lacking in craft ale but the have john smiths and a great selection of lager. Always friendly and welcoming.
Felt like a 'locals' pub which is not a bad thing. Limited choice of bitter knocks it down a star in my book. Parking isn't so great but you will probably find a space nearby.
Friendly atmosphere and worth a visit.
This is a great pub with a good selection of drinks, no loud music, and an excellent garden. It's one star short as the kitchen isn't (yet) working and thusly I can't go for a pub lunch once a week as used to be my custom in the old world.

The Inn was clean and cosy, modernity mixed with traditional appeal. Mine hosts-Nigel, Jo and Tina - were pleasantly attentive with the Covid imposed table service and nothing too much trouble. Plans for outdoor seating and the provision of food are promised, if the Council shifts to encourage this local venue with the appropriate licence. A real addition to the growing community.
