We visited a week ago and unfortunately we were refused service. Me, my sisters, our recently engaged friend, and both our mums visited for food and drink with a booking for 7pm. After discussing what to have we went to the bar to order, we started to reel off a few mocktails and the waitress asked to see ID. Went back to the table and got our IDs out (the youngest is 24 yrs old) but unfortunately one of our party forgot her ID. No worries, we figured we’ll just order soft drinks for everyone. The waitress then informed us we would need IDs from 8pm for the whole premises… which would mean we would have to leave because it was now 7:45pm. There was absolutely no pre warning as we entered the location and we were not ID until we started to order drinks. If we had ordered soft drinks, they wouldn’t have asked for ID and therefore the whole fiasco would not have happened… so a pointless rule really? We had to vacate the premises and find somewhere else to eat for the evening with no booking. Overall, horrible customer service and no mention of needing ID to EAT DINNER at 7pm, even after being in the restaurant for 30 minutes and no one letting us know. P.S. our friend in question who didn’t have ID was 27… we were all clearly of drinking age…

Abbey was amazing, she dealt with allergies that I had and found something for me to eat. She was also fast on the drinks for the bottomless brunch. I’d like more gluten free options and this would be amazing. I love slug and lettuce and is always my favourite to come here 🩷
