About This Pub
Ah, The Chatsworth Bar on High Street – it's one of those places that feels like a proper neighbourhood gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, inviting vibe where the staff are usually on point, making sure everyone's happy and sorted. The food stands out too; folks rave about the tasty dishes like those prawns and the overall quality, paired with a solid drink selection that keeps the evening flowing nicely. Live music adds a fun twist, turning it into a great spot for a relaxed get-together with mates. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – there's that one waiter who's been a bit of a grump in a few accounts, which could sour things if you're not lucky. The decor is straightforward, nothing to write home about, and some have mentioned the portions aren't as generous as they'd like for the cost. Still, with a solid 4.2 rating, it's worth popping in for a pint and a chat, especially if you're nearby and fancy a no-fuss night out.
Pros and Cons

The food is spot on – think tasty options like prawns and well-cooked meals that hit the mark for a satisfying bite.
-
It's got a cosy atmosphere that's perfect for a casual night out, with live music and a good selection of wines, beers, and cocktails to keep things lively.
-
Prices are pretty affordable, making it a great choice for a budget-friendly evening without skimping on quality.
-
The bar feels popular among locals, with a community spirit that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself.
Cons
-
One of the waiters has been described as quite rude on a couple of occasions, which can really put a downer on an otherwise nice visit.
-
The decor is a bit basic and unremarkable, so if you're after something fancy or stylish, it might not quite deliver.
-
Portions on the food could be a tad small for the price, leaving you wanting just a little more bang for your buck.

This venue is located on the main road about 10 minutes from the underground station. It is directly opposite a pub but appears to be the more popular venue for locals. The decor is basic, but the atmosphere is friendly. The staff are attentive and check to see that your needs are being met. The prices are reasonable and there is a good standard choice of drinks on offer. There is outdoor seating and a function to play music for gatherings. A weak point is the male toilets that had a dirty rag on each cubicle that was unsightly. The toilets could do with a makeover. However, overall it is a good venue for socialising in a welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely place, life music and good food!
I had to put only 4* as one of the waiters (a blonde 'lady') is always very rude with us on already two separate visits without any reason, let's say that she has no customer service whatsoever and/or simply hates her job and people..
The rest of the staff is been great ! Really attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back, hopefully we will not have that woman around us so that we can have a truly great evening
Excellent bar and food.
The staff are consistently polite, friendly and with a smile. Service is fast.
Food was good although perhaps portions could have been bigger considering the price.
My first venture to the Chatsworth, came to see a band called Frank The Cat. I came with friends of mine to make an evening off it.
We all ordered food, which was fantastic, cooked to a high standard, actually you see the chefs working away. Great wine and beer selection, and non alcoholic drinks.
Staff have been very welcoming and friendly. There is a quiet back room to sit if you don't fancy the music. There is a lively atmosphere, l am sure it is more quieter during the day, but since there is live music, there is a different happy and jolly crowd.
It's definitely a place worth a visit whatever your taste are.
I went there on a friends birthday party. The place is really cosy. We had a reserved area and the staff did some decoration for my friends party which was surprisingly pleasant. We had some food which was really tasty...the prawns especially. Everything was on affordable prices and the cocktails were really good. Music was also great. All together - great time! Will get back again.
