About This Pub

Ah, The Cavern Pub, what a spot – it's got that unmistakable Liverpool charm, doesn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around, it's all about diving into the legacy of the Beatles and the city's legendary music scene, with walls lined with memorabilia that spark stories over every drink. The live acts are a highlight; you'll catch everything from solo crooners belting out timeless hits to full bands keeping the energy high, and it's free admission, which is a lovely touch for keeping things accessible. Folks rave about the welcoming atmosphere, where you can pop in for a quiet afternoon pint or stay late into the night for the music – though it might feel a bit subdued during off-peak hours, so plan accordingly if you're hoping for a full house. Service-wise, it's spot on, with friendly faces making sure you're looked after, and being right in the city centre makes it dead easy to fit into any day out. All in all, it's a fantastic place for music lovers, but do keep an eye on those varying opening times to avoid any disappointments – it's got that perfect mix of history, heart, and a good old singalong that leaves you with a smile.

Pros and Cons

Cons

  • The opening hours seem a bit variable, which could catch you out if you're planning ahead – double-check what's on for the day.

Lovely little spot with lots of musical history pieces. Nice cozy atmosphere. I called in on a Sunday around lunchtime and it was very quiet but they had a great duo playing a range of beatles and other music. The service was friendly and prompt, facilities good and location very central. Would definitely recommend! I couldn't rate on food a I don't think they did any and couldn't rate on atmosphere because it was quiet on a Sunday afternoon.

If You ever turn up in Liverpool, visiting this pub is a must. And just turn back in time thinking about so many British bands and not just, where they started from.

1st time in Liverpool and into the club at 6pm, great atmosphere and sounds, found myself dancing away as soon as I got into the club (I don't dance). Some really great memorabilia throughout the whole club to browse. Some deep roots in rock and roll in the cavern! Great live music and drinks are reasonably priced. Didn't try the food though. I would naturally recommend a visit and soak up the atmosphere. £5 entry fee pp worth the price.

I'm not a Beatles fan. Nevertheless, I stumbled into the pub during Beatles week, and I got treated with an amazing performance by Argentinian tribute band the 'Star Beatles'. They even sang a song together with a local legend. The entire atmosphere was cozy, fun, and vibrant. And as a bonus: the drinks were good and priced even better.
