About This Pub
You know, when I popped into Crispins Wine Bar, I have to say it really won me over with its friendly, family-run vibe – it's one of those places that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The staff are just brilliant; they're so knowledgeable and eager to chat about the wines, which come from all corners of the globe, and they've got a nice selection of bottled beers too if wine isn't your thing. It's open until the early hours, which is a godsend for those nights when you don't want the fun to end, and the atmosphere can be magical, especially if someone's tinkling away on the piano. That said, it's not without its little drawbacks – you've got to be mindful of getting there before last orders at 1 AM, or you might be left out in the cold. Plus, if you're not mad about wine or fancy something more along the lines of a traditional pub with pints on tap, it might not quite hit the spot. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a mellow night out, and I'd definitely give it a go if you're in the area looking for a hidden gem with a personal touch.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The service is absolutely top-notch – staff like Stefan and Daniel are incredibly friendly, professional, and know their wines inside out, making every visit feel warm and welcoming.
-
They've got a brilliant selection of wines from all over the world, plus some great bottled beers, so there's plenty to choose from if you're in the mood for something special.
-
It's open late into the night, which is perfect for carrying on the evening after other places have shut, and the atmosphere is just lovely, especially when someone's playing the piano.
-
The traditional bar setup gives it a real hidden gem vibe, ideal for a relaxed get-together with friends or family, and it's family-run, which adds to that homely feel.
Cons
-
Last orders are at 1 AM, so you have to make sure you're in early enough, or you might miss out on that extra drink.
-
As it's mainly a wine bar, the options might feel a bit limited if you're after a wider variety of drinks like draught beers or spirits, rather than bottles and wines.
-
It could get a tad pricey for a casual night out, being on the moderate side, so it's worth keeping an eye on the bill if you're planning a longer session.

Lovely wine bar with amazing staff and good selection of bottled beers. Still.open after most pubs in the area close, but he aware you have to be in before 1AM, when last orders are as well. You will have plenty of time to finish your drink before you have to go home though!
