I have been a regular customer at this pub for about a year. It's a nice pub, and even though some of the staff are very friendly, the rest are so rude that it ruins the experience.
For example, I wanted to order a pint on Monday, and before I even placed my order, the waitress said, "It's going to take a while, I have other orders." She didn't even let me place my order and, of course, didn't say "sorry" or even "hi."
It is not my habit to make negative comments, but this way of speaking is totally unacceptable and had to be reported.
Personally, this will be my last time at this pub.
Visited last week while exploring Holland Park.
I had heard a lot about this pub, especially their warm hospitality and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. I was a bit unsure about what drink to go for, but Sachin, one of the staff members, was incredibly helpful. He recommended the perfect drink for the moment, along with a bar snack that paired beautifully with it. His friendly nature and genuine hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that truly elevated my experience. Thanks to him, my visit to Holland Park became even more memorable.
Highly recommended
If you’re looking for your next go to pub look no further!
This place isn’t just about serving the best drinks in town (though trust me, they absolutely do), it’s about creating an experience you won’t forget. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, the warmth and friendliness of the staff make it feel like home away from home.
Now let’s talk about the food , the Sunday roast is a game changer. It’s the kind of wholesome, satisfying meal that melts away the stress of the week. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and portioned to perfection. After a long stretch of workdays, it’s exactly what your soul (and stomach) needs.
What truly stands out, though, is their attention to detail when it comes to allergies and dietary needs. They genuinely care not just ticking boxes, but ensuring every guest is safe, comfortable, and happy with their meal.
I’d really recommend giving this place a try, it’s one of those spots that makes you want to come back. I honestly don’t think you’ll regret it.
I had lunch at The Castle Holland Park yesterday and was blown away by the chicken, bacon, and avocado sandwich—absolutely delicious. Paired it with a Granny Smith Cider, which was crisp, refreshing, and just right. I enjoyed it so much that I brought 8 friends back for dinner tonight!
This time, I had the pork belly, and it was phenomenal—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Once again, the Granny Smith Cider hit the mark.
What really sets The Castle apart, though, is the service. Sachin was incredible—attentive, personable, and made us feel like we were old friends catching up. Dom was also fantastic—friendly, professional, and made checkout a breeze. Even after most of our group had left, a few of us stayed just to chat with them. That kind of warmth and hospitality is rare.
Great food, amazing drinks, and a crew that truly cares—The Castle Holland Park is now a must-visit spot for me every time I’m in London.
Castle pub is definitely a place worth visiting! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive – it’s clear they care about making every guest feel welcome and comfortable.
The beer selection is a true highlight, offering a great variety of classic and local craft options that will satisfy any beer enthusiast. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations; they’re always happy to help.
The fish and chips at Castle are simply outstanding! Fresh fish in perfectly crispy batter paired with well-seasoned fries make for a dish that’s full of flavor. It’s a classic done right and pairs wonderfully with a cold pint.
I highly recommend Castle for an evening with friends, a meal with great food, or just a relaxing moment in a cozy atmosphere.
