About This Pub
Ah, The Carpenter's Arms – what a lovely spot it is, tucked away near the Thames in West London. I have to say, it's got that classic 19th-century feel that just warms you up the moment you step inside, with its cosy nooks and a secret garden that's an absolute treat on a sunny afternoon. The food really stands out; we're talking fresh, seasonal plates that hit the spot, like those roasts and small dishes that reviewers rave about, paired with a solid range of beers and cocktails – I hear the Strawberry Aperol Sour is a winner. And the team behind the bar? They're proper welcoming, making you feel right at home, which is especially nice if you've brought the dog along. On the downside, though, it's not the cheapest place; the prices can add up, especially with that service charge tacked on, and a couple of reviews suggest it might not quite have the pull for a second visit if you're after something more everyday. Still, for a special evening or a relaxed weekend lunch, it's well worth checking out – just keep an eye on the bill and maybe book ahead!

A few folks have mentioned it lacks that certain spark to make it a regular haunt, like something missing to encourage repeat visits.

Lovely pub with sunny garden. Good selection of beers and cocktails, friendly and accommodating staff. Had a Strawberry Aperol Sour cocktail which was delicious, recommended and made by barman Peter. Worth a visit!
What a find, thank you Google. This is a jewel that I'm almost reluctant to share as I feel quite selfish 🤭 We didn't have a reservation but were fitted in with warmth and welcome. Dog friendly so that's a great plus too. Food is amazing, I recommend lamb shank and the fabulous Rioja reserve 👌
Had the most lovely evening here with the best food - honestly the best meal we’ve had in a while! Will definitely be back during another London visit.
Delicious roasts and we came here on a Bank Holiday Monday and shared a few small plates. It's usually closed on a Monday and Tuesdays with the exception of Bank Holidays. The selection of small and main dishes and desserts makes it hard to choose! Food is fantastic, seasonal and super fresh. There is a large garden and its children and dog friendly. Highly recommend foe a weekend lunch or dinner with friends or family. Great selection of wine to top it off and only a 10 minute walk to the river
Had dinner there with my friend. Food is nice but expensive, service charge 12.5% we had the lobster and mushroom risotto. Baked cheese cake was good. When I was back to see my friend in this area we will probably go to another local place as this pub is missing something that would make us return regularly.
