About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Bull's Head, it just feels like that reliable local spot where you can unwind with a pint and some decent nosh without any fuss. The staff are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything's just right – I hear Hayley's a standout, really going above and beyond to keep things cheerful. The food's a highlight too; those sizzling skillets and burgers are spot on, with fresh ingredients and options for all tastes, and the prices are refreshingly straightforward. It's got that classic pub charm with a bit of extra sizzle, perfect for meeting up with mates or enjoying a quiet evening. That said, it's not flawless – a couple of folks have mentioned it's not as impressive as other branches they've tried, with some dishes coming across as just okay rather than outstanding. Still, overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a laid-back spot in Coventry, and I'd say it's worth a visit for the atmosphere alone, as long as you keep your expectations in check.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable, just like chatting with old mates.
  • The food is top-notch with fresh ingredients and great variety, including vegan and vegetarian options, all at honest, fair prices that won't break the bank.
  • It's a proper community spot, proud to support local causes and offer a function area for groups, adding a real sense of warmth and belonging.
  • Plenty of parking and seating inside, making it easy to pop in for a relaxed meal or to catch up with friends over drinks.
Cons
  • Food quality can vary a bit compared to other locations, so it might not always live up to the hype if you're expecting perfection every time.
  • Some experiences feel a tad average, like with certain dishes that don't quite match the excitement from other visits, leaving a bit to be desired.

Went to the bulls head for some lunch and a quick drink. Was welcomed by Hayley Ann, she made me and my friends feel comfortable and was always happy to help. She was kind and talkative throughout the whole time I was there and I really enjoyed my time there.

Absolutely amazing service! Good food and friendly staff. Hayley goes above and beyond not just for the customers but for the staff too. Couldn't fault her even if I tried

Compared to the Bulls Head we visited in Peak District, this one has a lot of room for improvement. We tried the same dishes from both places and this one was very average. The drinks were good. There is a lot of parking space and there is enough seating once you’re inside. The staff is nice and friendly. It wasn’t too crowded during our visit in the weekend lunch time.

The food here is amazing!! In my opinion, they have The BEST PUB FOOD in the whole of UK. The prices are very reasonable and staff are friendly too. I have tried various different types of food and every single dish exceeded my expectations!
