About This Pub
Ah, The Bulldog in Leamington Spa – it's one of those classic pubs that has a certain charm if you're up for a laid-back evening. I love how the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the drinks are reasonably priced with a nice variety of gins and spirits to choose from. It's spot on for catching a football match, with those big TVs creating a bit of excitement in the open seating area, and the car park is a real bonus for an easy drop-in. On the other hand, it's a cash-only place, which might catch you off guard these days, and some evenings the music cranks up so loud that it's hard to hear yourself think, almost turning it into more of a club vibe when you'd rather just chat. The outdoor options are pretty sparse too – just a couple of benches and a table that could do with a spruce-up. All in all, it's a decent spot for a pint and a bite if you're local, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea, so pop in with an open mind and you'll likely have a good time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are really friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
-
Drinks are affordably priced, with a good selection of gins and spirits that won't break the bank.
-
It's a great spot for watching football, thanks to the large TVs and that lively, open-spaced seating area.
-
There's a convenient car park, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot nearby.
Cons
-
It's cash only at the bar, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're used to tapping your card.
-
The music can get overwhelmingly loud at times, making it tough to have a proper chat and more like a nightclub than a relaxed pub.
-
Outdoor seating is limited to just a couple of benches and a rather seedy table out back, which isn't ideal for enjoying a drink al fresco.
-
Some folks have found the staff a bit rude on occasion, which takes away from the overall experience.

Typical town bar, good food, not much expensive booz, peaceful mostly
Went for a friend's event in the back room. Rough pub but good atmosphere. No cards accepted at the bar, cash only.
Went here for the first time as it was close to where I was staying. The music was so loud I couldn’t have a conversation it was like a night club but the inside was basically empty. There was next to no seating outside apart from 2 benches and a seedy table out back and the staff were rude and unwelcoming.
Second time in here. Everyone seemed friendly enough. Just had couple pints and went home though. They were only taking cash last time I was there though. Didn't ask why.
Friendly staff.. Good choice off gins and other sprites.. Priced OK. Open spaced seating area. Shows love football ⚽ welcoming atmosphere. Car park. Large tvs
