About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Joiners Arms – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you once you're inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about that warm, community feel, with the staff and regulars going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, almost like joining a little pub family. You've got the classics sorted here: a pool table, darts, and TVs blaring the footie, which is brilliant if you're up for some lively banter over a pint. The drinks selection is decent too, with options like lagers, pale ales, and cider that won't set you back much, and there's even a nod to Portuguese influences with some unique beers and snacks. But, honestly, it's not without its flaws – I hear the lack of casks might leave real ale enthusiasts wanting more, and the outside could use a bit of sprucing up because it doesn't exactly scream 'come on in.' Still, if you're after a relaxed spot for a chat and a game, it's well worth a visit, especially with that solid 4.3 rating showing most folks leave with a smile.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff and regulars are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's got a great old-style pub vibe with fun activities like a pool table, darts, and TVs showing live sports – perfect for catching the Premier League or European football.
-
Prices are spot on, offering good value for drinks like lagers, pale ales, cider, and even American Coors, without breaking the bank.
-
Despite its modest exterior, the inside has a lovely atmosphere where you can enjoy a mix of British and Portuguese influences, including some tasty food options and imported treats.
Cons
-
There's no casks on the bar, which might disappoint if you're after those traditional real ales.
-
The outside doesn't look all that inviting, so it could be easy to walk past without giving it a chance.
-
Food selection is a bit limited, with just a small range of Portuguese dishes and imports, so it might not satisfy if you're after a full meal.

Nice and friendly pub.
It is absolutely worth visiting. The only downside of it is that there are no casks on the bar. Otherwise, they have lagers, pale ales, cider, even american Coors.
There are TVs in there, so you can watch Premier League as well.

This pub may not look much from outside but insude is full of fantastic people . Landlords are the friendliest people you will ever meet . You are welcomed into a small pub family and the regulars make you feel welcome. Lovely pub great atmosphere and very friendly xxxx
Friendly Portuguese operated pub, with Portuguese and British beers plus a small selection of Portuguese food from kitchen. Small shop where other imported things can be purchased.
Great spot to catch European football too.
Some people might be put off by the outside, but don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
It's a cool place good food and drinks. And nice staff
