About This Pub
Ah, The Bull Ring Tavern – what a gem it is in the heart of Digbeth! I have to say, from what I've gathered, it's one of those pubs that just nails the community feel; the staff are dead helpful and the regulars make it easy to strike up a conversation, like when someone mentioned getting lost and being sorted out with a smile. The old-school vibe is spot on, with plenty of screens showing live sports and even some karaoke to get the energy going – it's perfect if you're up for watching the game or just having a laugh with friends. They've got some great drink offers too, so you can enjoy a pint without worrying about the wallet. On the downside, though, it's a compact little spot, which means it can get a bit packed and noisy on busier nights, and it's really geared towards drinks rather than a full dining experience, so if food's your main thing, you might want to plan ahead. All in all, it's a solid choice for a no-fuss pint in a friendly setting, but keep those expectations realistic for a true local pub feel.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff and locals are incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got that authentic old-school pub charm, which is a rare treat in Birmingham these days.
-
They offer unbeatable drink deals and prices that won't break the bank, perfect for a casual night out.
-
Loads of live sports on the screens, so it's brilliant for catching the footy or rugby with mates.
-
The live entertainment, like karaoke, really livens up the place and adds to the fun atmosphere.
Cons
-
The space is a bit on the small side, so it can feel crowded during peak times and get a tad overwhelming.
-
It's mostly focused on drinks rather than food, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to look elsewhere.
-
Prices are pretty standard for the city centre, like around £4 a pint, so it's not exactly a bargain hunt.

First time travelling to Birmingham alone . Ended up here being lost after a rude taxi service, very friendly & managed to settle and assist me. Great pint of Guinness too! Thank you
If you want an old school style pub, this is the place to go. Locals are very friendly and I doubt there's many pubs like this left in Birmingham. Worth a visit, if only just for a quick drink.
Popped in here while my daughter was at a gig.
Proper old school pub, plenty of TVs, locals, good atmosphere.
Decent prices, great staff. Well worth a visit
Old school type bar with easy access to Moor St Station and good for busses.Normall.city centre drinks prices expect to pay £4 a pint. Very good atmosphere during the holiday period
A bit of Disco and karoake made it a good mix. Will be going again. Not a large bar but does the job. Best to use public transport too.
I went to this pub for a drink. I thought I will drink and come out early but the moment I went inside, I received good gesture from people. I really enjoyed my time there and I stayed for a long time. I Had 4 double shots of Jack Daniels. Someone was having birthday and all were singing and dancing.
