About This Pub
Ah, The Botanist in Warrington – what a gem it is for a proper night out or a relaxed lunch. From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, the food really steals the show; whether it's the shared garlic bread starters, those hanging kebabs that everyone's raving about, or the fresh brunch options like avocado with poached eggs, it's all cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Pair that with a wide array of cocktails that pack a proper punch, and you've got yourself a treat. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick service, making the whole place feel warm and inviting. It's got that lovely botanical decor with a terrace that's perfect for soaking up the sun, and being dog-friendly just adds to the charm – ideal for a casual meet-up. On the flip side, it does tend to get packed, especially with the live music and events on, so if you're not in the mood for a crowd, it might not be your best bet. Prices are fair but could add up if you're indulging, and there might be a bit of hassle with varying opening hours, so planning ahead is key. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a good time with great grub and drinks – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant – think tasty shared kebabs, delicious brunches like avocado on sourdough, and those mouthwatering cookie skillets that leave you wanting more.
-
The staff are so friendly and professional; they really make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
The atmosphere is spot on with impressive decor, a lovely outdoor terrace, and it's even dog-friendly, which is perfect for a relaxed day out.
-
They've got a great vibe with live music on weekends and fun events like happy hours and bottomless roasts – it's always buzzing in the best way.
-
The cocktail selection is generous and not stingy on the booze, plus there's a nice variety to suit all tastes.
Cons
-
It can get quite lively and busy, especially on evenings and weekends, which might make it a bit overwhelming if you're after a quiet pint.
-
Prices are on the moderate side, so it might not be the most budget-friendly spot for a casual midweek meal.
-
There could be some confusion with opening times, as it seems to vary and might not always align with what's expected, so it's worth double-checking before heading out.

Fantastic evening spent at The Botanist Warrington.
Lovely atmosphere, amazing decor. Friendly staff.
Highly recommend the 'Hanging Kebabs'.
Delicious!
Finished evening with Mojitos next to the impressive water feature.
Come here! I have been before for drinks and the service and drinks are always lovely.
However, today was amazing! Bottomless brunch. I had the sourdough, avocado and added the pouched eggs which was honestly one of the most delicious things I have ever ate! The berry colarda was gorgeous and prosecco so cold!
Service was perfect so attentive and lovely. I honestly can't wait to go back!!
Beautifully decorated and inviting. Had lunch which was lovely and well presented. Good price too. Friendly and professional staff. Will definitely return.
Always a thoroughly enjoyable experience here. Food is always tasty and cooked well. The cookie skillets are especially delicious! There's always a wide selection of cocktails which are tasty and not stingy on the alcohol.
Also, I can thoroughly recommend The Botanist on a weekday evening as a good place to go with a baby. The staff were all so lovely. There's a big changing table in the disabled loo downstairs and there are lots of quiet, discreet corners to breastfeed in. The music also wasn't too loud and the lighting was quite dim so baby was able to sleep most of the time. Thank you for making our first trip out with baby a success!
