About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Boathouse Inn – it's one of those places that really captures the essence of a traditional British pub with a twist. Tucked away in the picturesque Saltaire village, right on the banks of the River Aire, it's got this fabulous historical backdrop that makes every visit feel a bit special. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the atmosphere is just lovely; imagine sinking into a comfy spot with mates, enjoying the scenic views and that perfect mix of old-school charm and modern touches after a nice walk. The food's generally a winner too – things like hearty scampi and chips or a generous ploughman's platter come highly recommended, and they've got options for everyone, including those with specific dietary requirements. Plus, the drinks selection is spot on, with a great range of ales and wines that pair nicely with the grub. The staff really shine here; they're super welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you're looked after. But, to keep it real, it's not all plain sailing – a few folks have mentioned that some dishes seem a bit pre-packaged and not as fresh as you'd hope, and the prices can sting a little if the meal doesn't quite deliver. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.3, it's clear this place gets more right than wrong, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for a relaxed catch-up, just maybe keep expectations in check for the finer details.

A solid selection of drinks, including well-kept cask ales, imported beers, and wines, at prices that feel fair for what you get.
Cons
-
Some dishes might not live up to the hype, like reports of frozen food that doesn't taste homemade, which can be a bit disappointing.
-
Prices can feel a tad steep for certain items, such as sandwiches and chips, especially if they don't quite hit the mark on quality.
-
There have been mentions of food arriving soggy or not as described, so it might not always be consistent.

Beautiful location on the river at Saltaire.
Lovely decor and wide range of food and drinks. Excellent prices and the food was very tasty. My Caesar Salad had two very large pieces of chicken. My friend who is coeliac was well catered for.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Water and treats available for dogs too.
Stopped off for some food. Had scampi and chips which was fab. The views were fantastic, and the weather was nice to stand outside. Lots of seating options. Fairly busy but service was decent.
Delicious hot food, great selection of beers, welcoming friendly & helpful staff. Nice location. Good place to stop for refreshment. Not too busy. Reasonable prices.
Food unfortunately was a let down. Clearly all frozen and not home made. Very expensive too does not justify the price. Sandwich and fries which had hardly any potato in coat £12 and the thick chips again are clearly frozen - £4 The hot beef sandwich states crispy lettuce however comes all soggy from the gravy. Would be better if they were home made
Great place to come along to when in Saltaire. We called in for food and drinks on a Sunday afternoon.
Lots of people were having Sunday roasts, and enjoying them, but we opted for the ploughman's sharing platter. The platter is excellent value for money - just £20. Lots on there to enjoy and all very tasty.
Lovely views out the windows across the river and park opposite. If it had been a sunnier day it would be a great spot to sit outside.
The pub had lots or alcohol free choices which was great to see.
