About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about the Halfway House – it's one of those pubs that just makes you feel glad you stopped by. Tucked away in the heart of West Yorkshire, it's got this inviting country charm that's perfect for unwinding after a walk or gathering with mates. The food is spot on; we're talking proper pub classics and fresh seasonal dishes that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank too much. The team there are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort you out, which really adds to that homely vibe. It's especially nice in the beer garden on a sunny afternoon or by the log fire when it's chilly. That said, it can feel a bit remote if you're not in the area, and with moderate prices, it might not be the go-to for a budget night. Still, it's a solid spot overall – I'd say give it a go if you're nearby, as it's got that genuine warmth that makes a visit worthwhile.

Went with my family for Fathers Day. It was our first time there and definitely won’t be our last. We were really impressed with everything. The food was top notch and the staff were very friendly and on it. The atmosphere and layout is exceptional. Highly recommend.
The pub is lovely and cosy inside and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! We’re really impressed and will defiantly be returning soon to try out the rest of the menu! Thank you Kate & Gee ☺️x
Visited Friday for some lunch. Service was excellent. Staff were very polite and attentive. Both food and drink was great. Very well presented.
Really enjoyed sitting outside. Well worth a visit.
We came here for tea whilst staying at Hollins Hall for my birthday. The food was amazing, I had the Barbers smothered chicken and it was genuinely the tastiest chicken dish I've ever had! The decor was really nice and I particularly liked the ambience where the log fire is situated. The staff that looked after us were all very pleasant, Kate, Kaitlyn and Grace. Great choice of drinks on draught, we will most definitely return.
First time here today and I have to say it was lovely. The look and atmosphere is 10/10. Our server Beth and Pete were extremely friendly, smiley and knowledgeable about the food on offer.
We will definitely return to try what else is on offer!
