About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Boathouse – it's this charming spot right by the River Avon, just on the edge of Bath, and it's got that perfect mix of traditional pub warmth and a bit of boutique flair. I love how it's set up for all sorts of occasions, whether you're popping in for a casual drink with mates, treating yourself to a Sunday roast, or even booking a room for a quick escape. The views are just gorgeous, making it feel like a proper countryside retreat without straying too far from the city. The team there are absolute stars; they're so welcoming and on point with service, which really makes the whole experience shine. And the food? Well, it's solid – think tasty breakfasts and those classic pub meals that hit the spot, especially for family get-togethers. On the flip side, though, you might find a few items missing from the menu now and then, and it's not always the most mind-blowing grub, so keep expectations realistic. Plus, it's not smack in the middle of Bath, so you'll need a bit of transport to explore more. All in all, it's a fantastic choice if you're after a relaxed, scenic spot to enjoy good company and a pint, with just enough polish to make it memorable without being over the top.

Went here for a family friendly pub Sunday lunch with a great setting, and it was exactly that.
Very easy to book online. Excellent service friendly and courteous as soon as we arrived. We all had a wonderful Sunday lunch definitely worth a return visit.
The team took amazing care of me. I loved everything my room was stunning and the food in the restaurant was on point. Scott and his team where amazing. I had every meal in the bar and the views are stunning. I cant wait to return, thank you fantastic place.
Perfect for a short stay. Staff very attentive, rooms perfect and the attention to detail was appreciated. Good drinks, food was OK although some items not available and the meals were presented well and quickly. A short bus or car ride from Bath City centre, so much you can explore during your stay. Located on the river Avon with amazing views and calming atmosphere.
Really lovely stay at the Boathouse located next to the River Avon. Comfortable bedroom with a vintage vibe and balcony to relax on. Breakfast included was a delight, especially enjoying the Eggs Royale. The staff were super friendly and made our anniversary trip even more special. Only complaint would be the lack of signal to our television in the room and after our check-in, we decided to dine in for the evening and the food was a little cold & hard, with some food options unavailable - I feel this is a result of the busy period though and wouldn’t want it to take away from all the brilliant things at the Boathouse! I would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay away.
A lovely setting, a short walk away, along the towpath, from the caravan park where we were staying for 6 nights. We had 2 meals - Sunday lunch and an evening meal on our last night- both were great, friendly staff and excellent service. My hubby was on a course so I went 3 times in the morning for their lovely coffee and cake- sitting in the sun on their veranda and read my book- very nice. Super friendly efficient staff and service. Lovely food. What’s not to like 👍
