About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Boat Inn – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a good old pub outing. Nestled by the canal, it's got this lovely, peaceful vibe that's perfect for catching up with mates over a pint or enjoying a hearty meal. The food is genuinely brilliant; I've heard from folks who've raved about the Sunday roasts and lamb dishes, all packed with fresh flavours and presented just right. And the staff? They're an absolute delight, always chatting away and making sure everything's spot on, even when the place is buzzing. It's clear why it's got such a solid reputation overall. On the flip side, though, the website's a bit of a letdown – it's not loading properly, which might put you off if you're trying to plan ahead. Plus, it does get packed, so you might have to wait a tick for a table, but that's a small price for such a welcoming spot. All in all, if you're after a proper pub experience with great grub and a scenic backdrop, this one's well worth a visit – just pop in and see for yourself!

The Boat Inn Pub and Dining in Rugby is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The setting by the canal is beautiful—perfect for a relaxing meal or a casual drink with friends.
The food was outstanding—fresh, well-presented, and full of flavor. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every dish. Great selection of drinks too,
What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience even better. You can tell they care about making your visit special.
Whether you’re local or just passing through, The Boat Inn is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back
Had heard about it being a good pub. They weren't wrong. Service was brilliant looked after. Food was awesome. I had the duo of lamb, which was very nice. Would recommend . The wife had a rump steak I did sneak a bit and it was fantastic. Would visit again and definitely worth it just for the food.
We went for a Sunday roast with family and had the most enjoyable afternoon.
We sat on the waterside in the sun and felt very well looked after and catered for. The two waiters were very pleasant chatty and made us laugh!
The Sunday Roast was divine! Like seriously delicious and worth all of the money for it... we loved that they do a cauliflower cheese side too. The two veggies were well catered for with two options and they weren't chasing veg around the plate which often they can be.
I think the fact they only do roasts on a Sunday is the key to success here as everything on the plate tastes amazing
If you want a really lovely experience with great service and yummy food this place is for you!
One of the best beer gardens I've been to. Well kept, lovely floral areas, with a zen pond and plenty of comfy seating. Perfect for summer's day drinks with riverside view.
Sunday lunch also up there with the best. The "kids" portion was very generous with every bit perfectly made. Starter veggie pate was absolutely yum. Friendly staff too, will definitely visit again.
