About This Pub
Ah, The Black Swan – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper British night out. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the owners are absolute gems, always ready with a smile and a chat, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. The beer selection is spot on, with a great range of cask ales and rotating guest options that keep things fresh and exciting – I can imagine settling in for a pint of something like Abbot ale or Timothy Taylor. Plus, with both indoor and outdoor spaces, it's versatile for whatever the weather throws at you, and being dog-friendly means it's welcoming for everyone. On the flip side, it does get bustling during busy periods, so if you're after a quiet spot, you might want to aim for a mid-week visit rather than a Friday rush. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in the Loughborough area looking for that authentic pub experience, with its high rating speaking volumes about the good times had by all. I'd say it's well worth a try if you haven't been yet – just keep an eye on the times to avoid the crowds!

Friendly pub owners, great outdoor and indoor seating areas. Good selection of draft drinks 😊. At peak times it gets packed, often we visit during the week which is really nice
Great traditional pub. Great beer, lovely atmosphere.
Lovely family pub, dog friendly with very good beers 🍻 and a friendly service 😀 👍🏻
Friendly welcome, good selection of cask ale (see photos). Good pint of Abbot ale and Timothy Taylor plus guest beers. Traditional local atmosphere. Happy days. Definitely return :)
The atmosphere is VERY warm and welcoming, since Alice and Fred took over the pub in April 2023. There is always a fantastic selection of real ales on offer (and guest beers that change regularly) as well as all the other drinks that you would expect to find in a local pub. It's always a pleasure to spend time in the pub, and a warm welcome awaits everyone who comes through the doors. A change of tenants has revitalised the pub, and their efforts are to be applauded, well done Alice and Fred. 👏👏 Keep smiling. 🙂
