About This Pub

Ah, the Black Bull Inn in Bradford – it's one of those unpretentious locals that just draws you in for a proper pint and a chat. From what I've gathered, the staff really shine with their warm welcomes and helpful nature, turning a simple stop-off into a memorable evening; I mean, who wouldn't love ending up staying for hours just because it feels so inviting? They've got cracking deals on drinks and a lineup of live sports that makes it a go-to for match days, plus that revamped outdoor space is just the ticket for a bit of al fresco enjoyment when the weather's on your side. It's got that genuine community feel, where little acts of kindness stand out and make you appreciate the place even more. On the flip side, though, it's not all rosy – there have been a couple of grumbles about the bar staff not always being on form, with some experiences leaving a bit of a sour note due to rudeness or lack of effort. Still, with an overall solid rating, I'd say it's worth popping in for the good times; just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a cracking visit.

Never been in this pub before and we were pleasantly surprised. Our aim was to have one and move on but we ended up staying for best part of 8 hours 🤣 Landlord was friendly.

Having visited The Black Bull on numerous occasions before the upgrade to decor etc,we thought we'd visit again. I am sorry to say that we were greeted by two bar staff who I would not give house room to. The eldest was surly, rude, had no customer facing skills whatsoever and the young one was absolutely vacant, she had not the faintest idea of was happening. Perhaps the light was on but there was no one in. What ever money Paula has invested in the pub, I am sure these two bar staff will lose it all for her. They need to be replaced sharpish.Apart from a hen party and a couple of young lads watching football the pub was empty--on a Saturday night? We had one drink then left. If I could give minus star rating, I would. As it is, I give no stars. We went to the Albion where we warmly welcomed by experienced staff into warm, cosy pub surroundings with a good atmosphere. The night was a good one after all.

I enjoy going to this pub I really like the staff and the beer is affordable there's sky sports and a wide range of your favourite tipple that been beer or spirits also the garden area has had a total revamp you can have a smoke in the garden area and the warm welcome you get is all you need staff and locals are welcoming after a day at work a couple of pints is all that's needed to relax. Fridays is a good time i personally haven't been but again if you want a local pub for a quiet drink then this is the best one in clayton.
