About This Pub
Ah, The Bishop Blaise – it's one of those pubs that just makes you smile as soon as you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels included, which is just lovely for a night out with mates. The drinks menu is spot on too, with cocktails that folks rave about and a good mix of beers and wines that cater to all preferences – I can imagine it's a go-to for anyone wanting something a bit special without the hefty price tag. They've got this charming beer garden that's ideal for soaking up the sun on a summer day, and the events like pub quizzes really amp up the fun factor, keeping things fresh and engaging. On the flip side, it's not the biggest spot, so if you're heading there on a weekend, you might find it a tad crowded and struggle to find a seat, which could put a damper on things if you're after a quiet pint. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good time in Derby, especially if you're up for mingling and enjoying the vibe, but it's worth checking ahead for busier evenings to avoid any disappointments.

It's in a great location on Friar Gate, with decent prices that won't break the bank compared to other spots nearby.
Cons

-
Opening hours are fairly standard, but they can vary on bank holidays, which might catch you out if you're planning ahead.

Had the pleasure of playing at this venue and it has to be one of the friendliest, welcoming places I have been. Staff are a absolute credit to the owners and the customers are lovely too. Great cocktails and a nice vibe. Thanks for having me

Honestly one of the best pubs in derby and they do loads of offers on drinks too if u ask they’ll tell u
Not much you can say about it negatively. Good location, staff were friendly, decent smoking area, not much of a wait and drinks were decently priced compared to other places nearby.
I guess the only downside is that it isn't that large of an establishment, tables can get taken up quickly. So booking ahead or getting the seats you want early is best, especially on the busy days.
