About This Pub

Ah, The Belle Vue – what a gem it is in High Wycombe! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to make you feel welcome, with staff who go above and beyond to create that friendly, homely vibe. The live music scene is top-notch; it's intimate and energetic, drawing in a fun crowd that makes every visit memorable. Plus, with real beer and a garden for those balmy evenings, it's got that perfect mix for a relaxed or lively night. On the flip side, though, it's a tad frustrating that the operating hours aren't clearly listed anywhere, and the website's a bit of a mess, which might leave you scratching your head when trying to plan ahead. Still, with such high praise from folks who've been there, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a solid pub experience – just pop in and see for yourself, as the real magic happens once you're through the door.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Live music is a real highlight – it's intimate, fun, and creates such a lively buzz that keeps everyone coming back.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, with a welcoming crowd and a cosy vibe that's perfect for a good night out.
  • They've got real beer on tap and a garden for those sunny days, making it versatile for all sorts of occasions.
  • It's managed well and has a strong community feel, which really shines through in the feedback from regulars.
Cons
  • Operating hours aren't easy to find, which can be a bit of a faff if you're trying to plan a visit.
  • The website's a bit of a letdown with errors and not much info, so you might have to rely on word of mouth or popping by.
  • It's listed as closed in some spots, which could mean it's not always reliable for spontaneous trips – best to check first.

I’ve enjoyed visiting this venue since new management has taken over. Matt and co running so well under the management of Alex and Luke running the lope. Two venues succeeding within the town centre. Will be back soon

I've only lived in the area a little while but for someone now forty wanting a comfortable friendly place to listen to some live music this is the place. A bunch of regulars tell me it's one of the best pubs in the area/county and I can't disagree. Great live music, intimate and a fun crowd. May it live long.

Brilliant little pub. And I mean brilliant! The staff are so friendly, live music and the atmosphere is just amazing. Once you come you never want to leave. If you want a good night out then you really have to come here this is the best pub in High Wycombe. Even on those hot summer days you can chill in the beer garden. I found this pub by accident and I am so glad I did.
