About This Pub

Ah, The Three Tuns – it's one of those pubs that just warms your heart with its throwback to the traditional British boozer, where you can kick back and enjoy a pint with mates. From the reviews I've seen, it's all about that genuine sense of community and hearty laughs, with staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The prices are a real winner too, keeping things accessible for a quick after-work drink or a relaxed evening. But, let's keep it real, it does have its downsides; some have noted it's not quite the same as it was a couple of years back, with a bit of the character fading and the odd time when popular drinks like craft beers aren't available. Still, for anyone looking for an honest, down-to-earth spot in High Wycombe, it's worth checking out – just manage your expectations for that extra special touch.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got that lovely, old-school charm that takes you back to the golden days of pubs, full of community spirit and a proper pint
  • The staff are really friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in
  • Prices are spot on – affordable and competitive, perfect for a casual night out without breaking the bank
  • Great location in the heart of High Wycombe, making it easy to pop in after a wander around town
  • It's a fantastic spot for building connections and sharing a laugh over a cold beer, just like the good old times
Cons
  • It seems to have lost a bit of its original character lately, which might disappoint if you're expecting that classic pub feel
  • Sometimes they don't have certain drinks on offer, like craft beers, which could leave you wanting more variety
  • A few folks have mentioned it's not quite as vibrant as it used to be, so it might feel a tad underwhelming on some visits

The Three Tuns is a beautiful relic of a well missed past. It represents everything positive that a public house once was known for: genuine community, laughs, connection and passion for a good cold pint. Sadly none of us are local to High Wycombe; we were just there for the night. Or Steven the lovely landlord would have found himself 5 loyal customers. Shoutout to the locals and landlord who made us feel so unbelievably welcomed.

A very nice throwback to the old times where pubs were a central point of the community

Used to be my favourite pub in Wycombe a couple years ago but it's lost its character since.

Visited for the first time for the wake of Edd McDonald and the staff were very friendly.

Renovated old Wycombe pub . Friendly staff but on morning of visit no craft beer available. However competitive prices and would use again when on a Wycombe visit as is good location and friendlier than other town centre pubs
