About This Pub

Ah, The Bell and Cross in Clent is one of those pubs that just feels like a proper hidden gem, you know? From the reviews I've had a look at, folks are raving about the food – those handmade pies and roast dinners sound like absolute winners, leaving you well satisfied after a meal. The staff really shine too; they're so cheerful and attentive, making every visit feel like catching up with old mates. It's got that classic village pub charm with a cosy log burner, ideal for settling in with a pint or a glass of wine from their solid selection. On the downside, it's not the cheapest spot around, so you might want to keep an eye on the bill, and those early kitchen closures can put a dampener on plans for a leisurely afternoon. Still, it's well worth seeking out if you're in the area – just pop in when they're open and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely fantastic – think handmade pies and roast dinners that are full of flavour and really hit the spot.
  • Service is top-notch with staff who are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm welcome.
  • It's got a lovely, cosy atmosphere in a quaint village setting, complete with a log burner that's perfect for relaxing with a drink.
  • A great selection of beers, wines, and spirits means there's something for everyone, whether you're there for a quick pint or a full evening.
Cons
  • It's a bit on the pricey side, so you might need to dig a little deeper into your pockets for a meal or drinks.
  • The kitchen closes early, which can be a nuisance if you're hoping for a late lunch or dinner.
  • They're closed on Mondays, so it's not ideal if you're looking for a mid-week spot to pop in.

A quaint, tidy place with an excellent service, with kind staff and the food is amazing... A pity the kitchen closes at 2pm, but, when it's open we had no complaints. This pub is well worth visiting, even if you're Not eating.
