About This Pub
Ah, The Bell – what a lovely find it is, tucked away in the Bedfordshire countryside. I have to say, from what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to do things right. The food stands out as the star of the show; their homemade pies and roasts are just divine, with fresh, flavoursome dishes that mix classic English fare with a bit of Italian flair – think juicy burgers and perfectly cooked pasta that had me wishing I could pop in for seconds. It's all prepared with such care, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is another winner; stepping inside feels like a warm hug from the past, with original features like wooden beams and a roaring fireplace that give it that authentic, quirky pub feel, while still feeling fresh and inviting. The team there are an absolute delight, always on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the overall experience. It's brilliant for families or if you're out with the dog, and they've got a nice range of drinks to boot. Of course, it's not without its little quirks – being in a rural spot means it might take a bit of effort to get to, and that parking across the road could be a tad inconvenient on a rainy day or if you're laden down. Plus, the opening times can vary, so you'd want to double-check to plan your visit. All in all, though, it's a gem of a place that deserves the praise it's getting; I'd definitely recommend giving it a go for a proper, heartfelt pub experience.

First time visit after walking our dog. Delighted with the pub, the home cooked food and the service. The roast dinner was cooked to perfection as we're our pasta dishes. Really lovely quaint pub that is well worth a visit. Parking is across the street from the pub and is free and also It is dog friendly but only in the bar and outside. The views from the beer garden out the back are stunning too.
Good experience all round and I am sure we will return.
I am not from the UK but lived here for many years. I didn't quite understand why everyone is always looking forward to Sunday roast because the roast that i had for the past 16 years has been dry and vegetables overcooked. It has not been a good experience. I went to The Bell yesterday and completely changed my view on Sunday Roast. Best roast I had so far and everything cooked to perfection. Thank you for the great experience 👍
Excellent all round. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was of very good standard. I had the beef and roquefort pie - delicious and plentiful. My husband had the burger 🍔, he said it was really good and my daughter had steak with peppercorn sauce.
We have found a gem here! A quirky pub/ restaurant in beautiful surroundings and can't
wait to go back!
you're ever in need of an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than The Bell in Studham. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying their amazing beef roast, and it was a culinary delight from start to finish.
The beef was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Paired with all the traditional trimmings—crispy roast potatoes, a medley of seasonal vegetables, and a Yorkshire pudding that was delightfully fluffy—it was the epitome of a classic roast done right. The rich, velvety gravy tied everything together beautifully, making every bite a taste of comfort and indulgence.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere of The Bell only added to the experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. It's clear that a lot of love and care goes into both the food and the service.
I can't recommend The Bell enough if you're in the area and craving a top-notch roast. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed and hearty meal with friends, family, or even just yourself. I'll definitely be back for more!
